As i pass school children in the street I am continually amazed at the numbers of ethnic children that seem to have taken the place of the native children. I purposely count how many I see, the most native children I have seen to one class recently is four and even then I'm not sure if they were from eastern european stock. Don't you think that it is wrong for our children to be under represented in any school in this country. It seems to me we have been and are being systematically taken over where is this going to end?

I agree with that proposition, as does Damian Green, the shadow immigration minister, who has said as much. It is impossible for teachers to cope and a fortune is being spent by local authorities on classroom assistants of various mother tongues to help with the problem, for problem it certainly is. At my old school the head teacher seems to think that it is something to be proud of that seventy different languages are spoken in the homes of pupils, as though this marked a remarkable achievement of some kind. What it does indicate is the lack of common ground, the absence of the common culture which we took for granted in the far off days when I was there. That's one aspect of the situation. Another is the fact that from what I can observe, many youngsters in our country nowadays cannot express themselves adequately in any language. At home they discuss a limited range of subjects and have a limited vocabulary in the language of their parents. At school they mix with a confusing range of people who speak various versions of English and tend to be incoherent and difficult to understand. There is no incentive for them to improve their command of English within our educational system, with the dumbing down of standards. With you, Red, I ask myself the baffling question: where is it all going to end? |

If we don't do something about it soon, we'll be the minority in our own country. It's time to end the failed multi-cultural experiment, and there's only one way to do it. We all know what that is.
Also, sort out your spelling mate, you're making a fool of yourself. |

Part of the problem is that this statistic is misrepresented.
"1 in 7 children have do not have English as a first language", possibly an accurate statement, does NOT mean that 1 in 7 children do not speak fluent English.
The vast majority of children born in UK into families whose first language is not English, are fluent in English, as well as their parents' language.
There is a problem in schools with some non-English speaking children, but most of these are children of recent Eastern European immigrants.
How have ethnic (we know you mean non-white) 'taken the place of' native (we know you mean white) children? That phrase implies that the white children no longer exist - the 'ethnic' children exist alongside the 'native' children, not in their place. My wife and I haven't decided to have fewer children to allow a black couple to have more!
And why do you use the coy euphemisms 'native' and 'ethnic', when you mean 'white' and 'non-white'?
I'm sorry that you can't readily identify children from East European stock. Perhaps a law to make them wear a label, for your convenience?
And I'm very disturbed that you have nothing better to do than counting schoolchildren and checking the ethnic mix suits your agenda.
Still, at least you don't claim to have Sabrina's magical powers - she can tell people's citizenship status just by looking! |

It is not going to end, because new labour despise British people. And rightly SO, because no other people in the world would stand by and allow their country given away to a Nazi style federation like the EU....Let alone stand aside as their country is used as a dumping ground for every bomb happy nut case, every slave trading drug dealing criminal gang in the world.....How could any! body respect a people like that? I guess every one sees the British as natural door mats....best get used to it. Or perhaps join the British national party and DO something about it? |

Well both my children are English but some of the 'language' they speak that they learnt in 'skool' I can't understand lol.
On a serious note all children are at a disadvantage when learning if the process is slowed or interrupted by communication problems.
There are two areas of real concern, firstly companies that employ foreign nationals (mostly EU countries) should be charged a fee paid directly to the local councils to provide the additional services needed to help new arrivals (Workers and families) learn english quickly so they can integrate.
The second is 'alleged' groups who discourage their children or other family members from learning the language, this is much harder to establish and often revolves around allegations of 'isolationist' communities.
Here we need more assertive local councillors but to do this the local councillors need to know they have support of government ministers. Then they can 'target' unelected so called community leaders and challenge them by promoting the local services of language learning. Once people are involved more with their local communities they can play a part integrate and help with cohesion within society and tackle fear and suspicion that leads to violence. |

if u say 1 in 7 chldren speak english as a secondary language, what's wrong with that????
The problem is when the parents do not take the trouble to work on the children that their english is in par with the normal level of english knowledge expected.
children can speak chinses, hindi, polish in their house but what concerns me is their english fluency so that it does not slow the whole class. |

I thought the whole idea was integration, how come these children are not growing up speaking English as their first language, or is it their idea that we should change to suit them |

I'm not particularly bothered. At least people who learn a language other than their own usually manage to learn it properly. Take a look at your own spelling. |

Where do you live???
I live in west London and most of the kids are White with a minority of British black or Asian students. I don't pay as much attention to children as you seem to do but I have observed when picking up my nephew from school that most of the children speak English correctly. Just because a child is of a different ethnic background does not mean they are stupid, they know that to pass in english schools you need to be able to speak and SPELL English fluently as if it is your mother tongue.
Maybe your counting technique is as flawed as your spelling...are you proud to be English then respect the English language by using it correctly, I'm sure your fellow 'British Nationalists' are ashamed of you as us 'ethnic' people are. |

Look Red, Im sure you are a nice guy and proud of your country but next time you are passing them look into their eyes and see if you can find any wrong in them.... they are just kids, and they deserve a chance to have the decent lives that a Great country like Britain can offer... this hate will only hurt YOU. I personally can't bring myself to dislike the fact of kids having an opportunity for a decent education

Not considering that we are a nation of immigrants. Children will speak the language of their parents. Maybe you shouldn't look so much at children. You don't want to be called a pervert. |

I do agree. It is holding our children back and just proves how false and misleading government immigration figures are. The people who demonstrated for British jobs for British workers are another example of how government lies have stolen British futures.
The trouble is some simple minded people believe everything they are told by the authorities. Brainwashing is still rife, but the minority who are taken in by these tactics is getting smaller every day.
We have the right in our own country to see our children getting a proper education. In some areas they are in the minority now and are suffering the consequences |

I think the word English is defined as A people who like to invade other people countries, then get annoyed when ever the natives follow you home. |

I remember, living as a migrant in a Francophone area, talking to a local who commented what an advantage bilingualism would be for my child and how unfair it was that her child would not have that opportunity.
Perhaps you need to find an exclusive community for white people only. |
