I wasn't aware we were ignoring illegal immigration from other countries. We don't have millions and millions of illegal immigrants from Sweden (for example) so you don't read about it in the paper, but we do deport illegals from other counties all the time. |

Every American knows that ALL illegals (from Mexico, China, France, Italy, etc) are causing problems in the US. Yes, there are more Mexican illegals here than from other countries.

Your question is flawed. If the law says you will be asked during a traffic stop to show ID which identifies you as here legally, that is not selective, since all drivers must show ID.
And your analogy is flawed. Comparing speeders to rapists is comparing apples to oranges. A more apt comparision is stopping 5 over the speed limit because we have more of those and ignoring 30 over the speed limit. I say get all illegals out and there should be no such thing as illegals producing an "american citizen".
BTW racist is also a misleading term since "Mexican" is a nationality, not a race. |

If you think for anti-immigration activists, they usually don't care about the nationality, they just want all illegals out, though they do appear to have a special animosity against the most common offenders.
Your example is flawed. Speeding and rapists are very different offenses. Anti-immigrations activists are not saying to only go after illegal immigrants and not worry about other offenses. Even if one doesn't agree agree one should try to be fair and honest.
Edit: in addition Joel does acknowledge that there are illegal immigrants from all nations, so I don't know what you are complaining about.... |

No. They're racist and ignorant. Basically this just demonstrates what we've all known all along. They don't have a problem with illegal immigration. They have a problem with Mexicans. They hate the ones that immigrate legally just as much. They still treat them all like criminals, etc. |
