It is a step in the right direction. We can no longer allow people to cross over when ever it suits their interest. |

Yes, and even more than they have planned!! The wall will not work without back up plans for personnel to police it, but we have to stop this illegal immigration from Mexico (our largest "contributor") |

Definitely, but it is only part of the solution. We need interior enforcement or the problem will just continue. |

Mr Broadway, its very necessary to have it up. TY |

VERY NECESSARY!! Even if it doesn't stop as many illegals as we would like, it WILL STOP SOME, and it will send a very clear message to Mexico, and the would-be illegals: DON'T COME HERE!! God Bless you. |

YES!! they are killing our economy costing our country billions in health care and other social programs every year. Also, the number of mumu's that have snuck in is scary. I guess, what is a few more terrorists, we can't keep track of the ones that came and we documented |

Yes, but not just a fence, nope it should be a wall, only it should be longer, higher, and wider. |

Nothing else seems to be working. This probably won't either. I think I'd like another choice. |

Even if it doesn't really work, it's more symbolic then anything. It means that we are going to take a stand against this and if the wall doesn't work then we will go to the next step |

YES!
And long over due, illegal entry is a crime!
We Americans are going to DEMAND that they build it the whole length of the border too!
We Americans don't have to sneak out of the country like criminals. We have passports and legal documentation to leave at will through ports and airports.
We don't drag our kids through the desert and put them in child endangerment by throwing them in the back of a semi or a trunk of a car!
We are not keeping Americans in. We are keeping undesirable out! |

I think the wall would be effective only if they put minefields in front of it. |

You guys have it wrong, the immigrants aren't coming over the fence they are going under it. They had tunnels for centuries. |

Yes, a 50 foot wall along both our Mexican and Canadian borders. I'd be willing to pay taxes for that.. |

Nope. It's a non issue. |

If the feds would enforce the immigration laws... no... but since they won't... I think it is a good start at showing that we, as citizens, don't want illegals here. |

Neccesary to show how dumb people are to believe that a wall will keep illegal immigrants out. Its like trying to cure cancer with an aspirin. PLLEEEASE! |

What good will it do. The areas that now have fences do not now, nor in the past has kept the immigrants out. they have been cut, pushed over with vehicles and just climbed over and under. Are we to be like the the Great Wall of China? I was raised for over 50 yrs within 100 miles from any Mexican border and this has always been a problem. |
