You are probably no more african-american than I am anglo-american. Which of your relatives were slaves or from africa or lynched. Being on C.O.P.S. doesn't count. |

Do you mean questions asked of African-Americans, or by African-Americans?
The first, no, because I assume my answer would not be wanted.
The second, yes, if it's a question that interests me. I don't pick the questions I answer based on race, or the race illustrated by an avatar. |

Yes, because im african-american, and I like to help my fellow african-americans out. |

How would one know if it was a question for African-Americans? That would be like asking "Do you answer Irish-American questions?" Who knows. I just answer the questions. Yahoo! Answers is color blind.
A better question would be "how did you get Michael Jackson as your avatar?" |

The format makes it hard to detect the race of questioners unless they tell it in the question.
Regardless of race, though, a Q will get as good an A if it doesn't come from anger and too often that anger comes through in the question making some of us skip on to another Q.
Yours was to the point and free of the anger but you got some petulant A's. Go figure. |

Yes I do, mainly to say that I hate the term "African American". I am black & have never been to Africa nor am I American. See my point? |

Yes. Of course. I answer English speaking questions. Same reason I answer questions from other people of other races. Why is this is immigration? Are you an immigrant from Africa? My favorite nurse at the county hospital was from Africa. She was the prettiest, kindest, smartest, most attentive nurse there. Most of the racial issues between blacks and whites online has to do with younger blacks using poor language, vulgar language, racial slurs, blaming whites, inciting violence and all that. If you don't fall into that category, there isn't any reason for you to be categorized any differently than any other American. The African part isn't an issue unless it relates to sub culture or immigration issues (or if the AA brings it up and makes it an issue like now). |

We are all Americans. Don't try to set yourself part. It doesn't matter what color, race, or creed you are. |
