The true terrorist come through the Canadian borders, which are more lax on immigration...And they have the resources to come here legally..

Our borders ARE being defended. You said so yourself that the border patrol caught 500 people from 68 different countries in one day. They don't talk to the public in detail because it is classified information to be released on a "need to know" basis. Our biggest concern comes from overseas. And that is what you see in the news. That is the bigger threat. In contrast, our borders are small potatoes. We've just recently beefed up the border patrol with more personnel and technology. And anybody who does make it across will have to deal with NIS if they break any laws or if they just happen to get caught. We can't keep everybody out but we can try to keep the bad people out. The borders are just the first part of the filter. Our internal security is awesome. So awesome that alot of people are worried about their personal privacy even though their nobodies.

I believe that if someone was going to do something this despicable, they probably would do it with "legal" paperwork--in other word they would probably come over the border similar to the 9/11 terrorists did--they came in legally--and I don't believe they overstayed their visa.

Actually, as a test, officials tried to, and succeeded in, smuggling the componants for a 'dirty bomb' in over the Mexican border. Terrorists have paid coyotes to bring them across that border, and have waded the Rio Grande per House Hearing testimony.

Of course we can secure it and yes we do need barriers. But first we need new representation in DC.

You know the cost of procuring nuclear fuel (probably $$$$$$$ milions on the black market) and you'd trust an illegal alien who would probably get caught by the border patrol to lug it for you across the border?

That hairbrained idea is so CLUELESS. But I bet it plays REAL well with ignorant people looking for anything to make illegal immigrants look evil.

First of all, Nuclear Fuel requires control rods to transport. Insanely heavy.
Second, most of it generates so much heat, no one can actually carry it on their backs.
Third...nuclear fuel is so radioactive, if carried without lots of lead or steel shielding, you'd be dead in an hour.

But logic wasn't ever your strong point, i see.

you know, the last time i delivered in Laredo a couple of men woke me up at 3am. they said they were thirsty and hungry and had just crossed the border from the Honduras. here's the part i don't understand, they were spotless and all of their clothes were brand new. no one walks any distance in the desert without getting dirty. i wish i knew what all this is about. i also wish we could get some real answers. something is rotten in Denmark.

The amount of shielding needed to keep you from dying in a matter of hours while carrying enough material to make an effective "dirty bomb" would be so heavy you couldn't carry it long enough to cross where you can't drive over.

And you need to educate yourself as to how big the border is and how much manpower is available. Go to Texas and walk the border all the way to California... you won't make it. Then try to figure out how to man it 24 hours a day in such a way as to make illegal crossing impossible - if you can do that without causing the country to go broke, I'll vote for you - till then, please try to LEARN something about a subject before you make unsubstantiated claims.
