No, because 100 percent of them broke the law to get here. By my math, every last one of them is a criminal. |

The proof is in the pudding for those of us who are NOT anti American! |

I think they intend to be peaceful. |

no-
They are here illegally so they aren't law abiding either. |

Law abiding? NO
Peaceful? NO |

1. They are not law-abiding because they are in violation of the immigration laws.
2. That said, most left Mexico because they were put out of work by the massive imports of duty-free (under NAFTA) subsidized (due to US-taxpayer-funded crop subsidies to agribusiness) corn, cotton, tobacco, rice.
3. Meanwhile, African farm workers area likewise put out of work by EU and US crop subsidies, and they head for Europe, illegally.
As always, the white collar guys get rich immorally. And the working stiffs get caught doing illegal stuff.
Which is worse? |

Interesting figures in the article. Or course the key thing is they are law-breakers the moment they cross the border.
Peaceful ? I'd imagine that is reasonably true... here in my area of California, they keep a low profile after working all day. Why cause any trouble that would get them deported?
Mexico needs to clean up THEIR country. AND take back their citizens living illegally here. |

probably are cause they are undocumented and don't want to risk being sent back to mexico. they don't want to draw attention to themselves or their families |
|

?

well first thing is first i believe they broke the law by tresspassing onto untied states of america's soil.
that makes every single illegal alien a criminal |

Peaceful? Yes.
Law abiding? What part of "illegal" do you not understand? |
|

diobalikal
 |
No, obviously, if they are "undocumented" or in real terms, ILLEGALS, then they are not abiding by the law, so, in reality, every single "undocumented" worker is breaking the law.
Box em up, ship em back. |

Broke our law to get here didn't they? 40%of the outstanding warrants for murder that are issued are for illegal immigrants. (they skate back home and we can't touch them). The street gangs on the west coast are being over run by them. They cost us plenty on evrey other level too. (free health care to them, social servicees, ect.) |

From the act of sneaking across the border leaves wide open the need to also obtain false documents. No government agency tracks crimes by illegals, not even attacks on police no one really knows how many illegal alien criminals there are and many simply fall through the cracks. |

The fact that they're undocumented makes me believe illegal, and if your illegal how are abiding the law? |

Don't look now, but we're being deliberately integrated with Mexico... |

By definition, "undocumented workers" have broken our immigration laws and are therefore criminals. That aside, those that do make it to our prisons are there because they have committed other crimes. I believe that the percentage of illegal aliens (who says they have to be workers) that commit crimes that will place them in our prison system is small compared to the number that come here.
The rest of the prison population is a small percentage of the entire population of our country, so why would you expect it to be different for them? |
|

They've even admitted that they are sending their trash here to try and reclaim parts of America |

I'd be curious to know how many people on this board who say things like "It's the law" have never had a speeding ticket. Illegal presence in the united states is not a felony, it's a civil crime.
You answered your own question. If 17% are in federal prision then 83% are not. |

yes and it because they need to stay away from any peace officer |

Yes you are right in your comment. The advocates talk about how corrupt Mexico is but it is also the people themselves.
Most Mexican middle class home owners in Mexico don't just put fence around their property they also put broken bottles on the fences. It sure not to keep out Americans criminals. |

I don't agree that they are law abiding because that would mean they were legal and we are talking about illegal or undocumented. The last stats I saw put the percentage of illegal immigrants in our prisons at just over 30%, 1/3rd. Wow is 1/3 of our population made up of illegal immigrants? As far as who makes up the rest of the prison population I don't know. Illegal immigrants cover the biggest group of prisoners in the US and for crimes other than illegal entry. While they are going through our system they are given a lawyer, and all of the food and medical attention afforded to people who are citizens and have paid into our tax system. They do not deserve to utilize any services payed for out of my taxes. I do believe that there are plenty of illegal immigrants with only the best intentions but don't make light of the others and without the background checks we can't tell which is which. The street to hell is paved with good intentions. |

They have no regard for the law or they wouldn't be illegally. |

Peaceful, maybe. But definately not law abbiding, as they broke laws to get here and more laws to not even be documented.
And I highly doubt 40% of population is illegal immigrants. All the immigrants I know aren't illegal and get angry when people come illegally. This includes hispanics. |
|

Map, yes I have gotten a speeding ticket and paid my fine plus encured larger insurance charge. illegals now need to pay their fines and that's deportation!
Law abiding no not law abiding they wouldn't be here if they were. |

They are anything but law abiding. They are here illegally, then for most they are not done breaking the law, they use fake even stolen IDs, they use fake or stolen SS cards, it does seem the law breaking never stops. Respect is something that most grow up learning, all the law breaking done by the illegal immigrants tells me a lot about what they learn growing up. |

Yes I do. And let me tell you something even if there were no Mexicans here there would still be violence lots of it. So don't set here and say that they bring violence with them because they don't. You should really come and "visit" me then you can tell me your opinions face to face instead of hiding behind your computer. |

4% of 300 million = 12,000,000 17% 0f 2.3 million (the number of people in US Prisions) = 391,000. 12,000,000 - 391,000 = 11,609,000 Conclusion 97% of illegal aliens not in prison, and not bringing "violence and corruption" into the nation. We can also conclude from the data that 83% of the people in prision are american citizens. |
