Yes - it will likely force a review of the policies that most states impose on their interpretations of the 14th amendment by the supreme court.
Many people feel that it should never be used for the children of illegals being granted citizenship solely based on where the mother drops her package.
Certainly the lawmakers who debated the 14th seemed clear in that it should not be used to grant citizenship in this manner.
However our history is full of laws that have been "morphed" into something that the authors never intended. |

Yes. They can get birth certificates from their own country. However, this should be a nationwide, federal policy: no anchor babies. The children ought to be citizens of the nation of citizenship of the parents. |

Absolutely.
That would make them the only State to be in compliance with the 14th Amendment.
The author of the citizenship clause stated in his introduction of the clause to the 39th Congress that it would not, of course, include foreigners and aliens. That is pretty clear. The Supreme Court stated clearly, in 1982 that they had NEVER made a decision that would confer birthright citizenship on the offspring of illegals.
So there you have it. The 14th amendment denies it, the Supreme Court affirmed it and yet we still do it. Why? |

Absolutly. Everyone that knows our history and Constitution knows full well the reasoning behide the 14th ammendment and what it was intended for and how it is being abused now. The quicker they get this to the Supreme Court and have this fiasco ended the better....and this move gets the ball rolling in that direction. |

They can't it would be unconstitutional. The 14 amendment makes it so.

Yes and No. If illegal cannot pay the bill in full, then yes withhold the certificate.
If they illegals pay the bill 100% at time of leaving the hospital. Give them the certificate. |

But california will never pass a law like it because mexicans do have huge numbers there.
So all they will have to do is have there baby in california or even texas.
But I think there's a better way.....mexicans don't want to leave mexico, and if you didn't know that, you don't know a lot of things.

Arizona should deny birth certificates to all newborns...damned newborns thinking they deserve something just for being born somewhere. As if where you are born means something. |

YES = No other country gives citizenship solely on the grounds of birth. They also have to have at least one parent who is a legal citizen in addition to being born there. Look into Norway citizenship laws. We are already overly lenient in comparison to other nations. |
