I am probably going to have a load of people coming down on me hard here, and giving me a load of fingers down, but, yes, I do. I feel like a foreigner in my own country. Reason being? I simply cannot believe how many immigrants are over here. I used to love Scotland, but now I simply dont recognise it. Everywhere I turn, there are bloomin Polish delicassens (or however you spell it), Polish people wandering aimlessly etc. And just the other day, I was studying at college in the study room, when a load of Czechs, Poles, Russians etc came in and started talking in their own language. I thought, am I the only Brit here? I feel quite upset. I will probably have come across as racist, but I feel there are simply too many over here, it would be fine if there wasnt quite so many. |

Yes, I do. Even though were I live there are many different people. Just because I have dark skin people treat me very differently. I have had people say ' your english is so good! did you move from mexico when you were a baby?'. I was born HERE. Or people are rude to me just because they think I'm illegal. It's very frustrating because this is my country as much as theirs! |

Yes, because I'm British born and bred and I lived there until I was 26. I return on very rare occasions. And I feel like a foreigner. No one seems to understand what I'm talking about. Language isn't the problem, it's just that so many people in the UK are narrow-minded, insular and becoming more and more racist, and I really object to people getting high and mighty about Christianity when I know the last time they went to church was to a funeral or a wedding - oh and Christenings, which have long been a sort of insurance policy: 'We don't really believe in all this, but just in case...' |

Hell yeh. I'm white and an ethnic minority where I live. Bizaar feeling for a middle class girl from the suburbs. It's multicultural though, so I feel I learn a lot about society here and I have the added benefit of international supermarkets on my doorstep. |
