I think it's wrong yes. I went to an expensive private college (and I paid for it myself with loads of student loans) but there were two students at my school on full scholarships who were not legal citizens. That is not fair.

Yes! I have no problem with people coming over from anywhere as long as they do it legally and pay taxes like the rest of us have to do. But when they are illegally here they should not have benefits that the rest of our tax $$$$ goes to.

Bill Clinton went to Oxford for free. I am a natural born US citizen and received free or resident pricing on education in three foreign countries. I also received free or cheap medical care in places like Zimbabwe, Canada, Russia, Mexico and France.

Why is a great nation such as ours so cheap and bureaucratic about such things? No wonder everyone else in the world laughs at us behind our backs.

I most certainly do. We have problems with lack of money to educate our own American children. I feel that if you want to live here, do it right and become a citizen. Not some free-loader.

Free education? I really don't think such exists in the USA. Someone mentions scholarships. Does not one have to be a very good student to get them? Everyone is entitled to them citizens, immigrants everyone as long as your grades and aptitude meets the criteria isn't that so? AND If someone has a student visa they are not really illegal immigrants are they? plus, they have to pay more to attend school. The only free education is the one provided in public schools k-12 and most of the children of illegal immigrants are U.S. citizens as they were born here. I did not know an illegal immigrant can receive free education...and benefits? are you kidding, a person cannot even get a driver's license without proving legal migratory status, only those holding "green cards" can apply for benefits....

Yes because there are so many of US citizens that are here that can barely afford it. They then have to get loans which take a lifetime to pay off and they got a free ride.

yes - because as a citizen of the u.s., i'm not entitled to anything, except to get a crappy job that i can't afford to pay my bills, while i go to school and plunge deeper into debt, all the while my teeth are rotting out of my head because there's no free health or dental or vision that i can receive as a citizen. why couldn't i have been born in outside of the u.s., so i could ILLEGALLY come into this country and get all kinds of free assistance? oh yeah, and living in pennsylvania, i have to pay a "Priveledge to work tax". No I do not think sop because anyone should be able to learn and get an education. No one knows if in their own country they were not able to get education or any free things. They have a right to learn and the laws of this nations says that your background doesn't matter and everyone has rights.

What is the American Government doing with all of the taxes it collects??? Nah.... I prefer countries where one is free to choose to become a Doctor and not have pay. I pay taxes every week to help educate American Children. Then we had to take out loans to get our Son through college.

To know that illegals are here from it seems like every country. They have been here for years. Wake up America.
My Black co-workers have had to work their butts off. They are Americans. Then our government lets the illegals flow in at will. We Americans have to make a stand, on this issue!
I do volunteering. I take the poor in to sign up for medical and food stamps etc. There are more Mexicans in line than any one for free aid. They can't speak English. So! The medicaid/Food stamp office now has to hire extras. to understand these woman. Of course their men are making money on the side for cash through these construction companies, Doing roofing,brick laying installers etc.
I hope the bill really gets passed. If you get caught hiring a illegal. You get fined and you don't get to have your business in the State you get caught in. We have people in this country with a visa trying to become a citizen. They are doing it the right way. For the sneaks. OUT OF HERE!!!!
