Do you have to have a Visa to get into the US from London?

Someone I know met a woman from London on line and she wants to come and live with him. Does anyone know what it takes to come here besides just a passport? Would she need a Visa and what all does that take.

To visit no. To come live here, yes. She will need to apply for a visa and he will need to sponsor her.

Any alien, including citizens of the UK, would need an immigrant visa to come to the U.S. to live.

if the person intends to live in the US? the one is the US will have to apply for a fiance visa I-129 F and when approved,entry in the US and marriage within 90 days, or return to the UK for her.or go to UK and get married then apply for spouse visa,
you cannot come to the US to just live with someone without marriage.(or fiance visa and then marriage)
filing is with USCIS.
