Those legal aliens with greencards that work in this country LEGALLY do pay taxes and that does include paying for social security. However, what you fail to realize is that many are on welfare of some sort whether it be in the form of food stamps or in the form of health care. Many go to the local health departments for WIC vouchers and pregnancy care. Many of the illegals do the same so in all reality the legal aliens are paying for their brothers and sisters of their nation. Personally, I find it rude to support illegal aliens when many of the people who are citizens of this counrty cannot get help. That is just my two cents. |

One thing, they can't pay taxes, they do not have a social security number nor in any government documents or records (unless they got caught and got sent back...) So how would the government tax people they don't know is there? Heck, if the U.S. government found them, they wouldn't taxed then, they would have deported them by now.
If you know illegal immigrants are getting taxed then they are being "duped" (couldn't think of a better word). |

It helps to pay for lots more than just the war. It helps to restore the schools that are shot up by the legal students, people who just love to blow up buildings, go on human hunting, teachers that love their special students a little too much and the rest of the legal fees that this nation take on. If you notice none of the crimes mentioned here are committed by illegals. |

Well actually speaking the simple truth is they don't pay taxes. Because most companies that employ them do so under the table listing them as contract labor not as employees so no taxes or Social Security or Medicare is held out of their checks. And they are usually paid well below the minimum wage.
What irks me about it is a huge company like Swift that employees thousands of illegal immigrants doesn't get so much as a slap on the wrist for hiring illegal immigrants, but a small Mom and Pop company like a small landscape company; it's owners get fined and sent to prison for employing only one or two Where is the justice in that?. |

If illegal immigrants don't have legal documentation and often have very low salaries how do they pay into the federal or state tax system to any significant extent if at all in most cases? Don't most get paid off the books? If they rent someplace it's illegal and also probably off the books so they don't show up on city tax records. Most states exempt food from sales tax. It just seems that this tax argument is a red herring and they pay as little in as some rich folks with massive tax shelters. |

No! The fact that they are here illegally means that they are not working legally and cannot pay taxes under their own name and SS number. So any monies paid in taxes as a result of any work they do should never go back to them in any form, not ever. |
