Do you prefer hearing press 1 for English or the Spanish snippet to direct Spanish speakers to numero dos?

I speak American. You want to speak English then go to England.
I don't like dealing with any phone call where I have to press anything for anything.

Even if you press 2 for Spanish 99% of the time you will still get an english speaker. Then, you have to verbally tell them "Espanol?".

As you know, I speak English (American Dialect), Spanish, German ( Not much any more, been too long), and a dialect from a very remote Island in the Pacific Ocean, Stareian. NO, I DO NOT LIKE TO BE REQUIRED TO PRESS # 1 FOR ENGLISH !!!!!!!! I made a joke the other night and said when I called this company it said press 1 for Spanish and Press 2 for English. Nobody got it.

obviously the spanish speaking people need a different phone # to call, and what about here in los angeles area with cable TV, why do i have to waste my money on 12-15 foreign language stations...i am not a racist , just wondering why i need those?????

I will not press a button to "request" English. I wait for the operator...saves time anyway rather than wading through the menus and being asked the same questions by the time you DO get someone on the phone.

I like neither, but if I really had to choose, I would rather just hear, press one for english and nothing for the rest. They should just know they have to push 2. haha! Seriously though, if romantic languages are supposed to be beautiful, i don't see it with spanish. I would rather have somebody rub my eardrums with sandpaper.

My time is to important to even consider another persons language culture in my country were the language of business and government is English.

To be forced to decide between the two is politically incorrect because I do not recognize other languages in my country. Much like my country (USA) does not recognized dual citizenship. Hmmm.

Then why are businesses wasting my time with such language nonsense. It is because they are trying to make a buck or they wouldn't do it. And that means, they are making a buck off me because they are wasting my time.

I don't want my bills bilingual. It is confusing to me. I want all English and nothing but English. Have a seperate line for others who do not want to speak English.

Just like the lines at the border. I am a citizen and I don't want to wait in line with foriegners. I want a citizens only line and they better only speak, write, and read English.

If your speaking something other than that... why you must not be a US citizen because every US citizen knows that true US citizens only speak English. It's a fact.

If you are bilingual... chances are someone in your family just immigrated to this country and you will never be treated as an equal until you leave that part of your life behind.

You can be cool and all back of the bus and stuff by being bilingual but... if you want to fit in, if you want to be like the rest of us, if you want to be a true American, make it a point to speak only English. More doors will open up for you.

I prefer hearing the Spanish version.

The reason is because I want to learn to speak it better so I'm not just another dumb, ignorant, uneducated, white person who is unable to communicate with and understand what people around me are saying.
(I'm not really "white". . .I'm really more of a pinkish beige with freckles)
