I live in the here and now,not the then and what ifs.This is 2007 get over the Mexican/ American War.It wont be changed by not one action of anyone living today.
I think yes the majority come here illegally to work and take care of their families.They aren't concerned with,living off welfare or getting something for nothing.The same way the majority of legal Americans are..
But a few bad apples have caused the bright spotlights of the country to be focused on all illegals.Most illegals are grateful just to be here in the USA,they don't disrespect this nation its flag or the legal American they meet.
But again those that do have brought the wrath of people who really didn't care at all.But seeing our flag disgraced changed a lot of minds..........Illegal aliens have no legal or moral right to be here and the radicals like La Raza Unida have hurt your cause far more than you can ever imagine.

I hate to say this, but I think they want to take advantage of our government assistance programs. I've heard (although I'm not exactly sure) that if you deliver a child in the United States, you are entitled to public assistance. I don't mean to generalize, because I'm sure that's not why they are all here, but I'm sure it's the reason for some of them.

If you have ever been to Mexico then surely you know why they come here to work. That is such a poor country. It will probably remain that way for at least 2 reasons....Corruption...... lack of birth control ..........They have so many children they can't feed them in their own country. Remember they had all of the south western states until the US wanted them.

Maybe they wouldn't have become illegal aliens if that hadn't happened. Feeding their children is a major concern for Mexicans.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they should get all of the freebies they receive but who will care for them?

First of all "they" don't want anything. Like every other group you are talking about millions of people who all have different thoughts and desires. However, in general people who come to the US illegally don't do it because they want to "take over" it is because they want to be able to send money home so that their parents can have medical care, their kids can go to school, and maybe they can put running water in so that their wives don't have to carry it every day. As for holding a grudge, when you invade another country, occupy their capital and annex a huge portion of their land, people tend to hold a bit of a grudge. This is normal. But that's not why people come to the US. As for what you can do, you can work to make countries like Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras better places where people can earn a living wage and see their children taken care of and educated.

Not really immigrants are just here to be a better person to live longer. They want to move to place where they can have more than where they are from because their own country doesn't have enough money to provide them so they move to the US. I think that they are here to work and it's not only mexicans that come to the US.

Wow, that's a loaded question! First, I think you simply don't like Mexicans. But, what about your own family background... how about asking the same question about your own family background? It, too, applies.

Curious how you collectively "package" Mexicans into one category; it reeks of bigotry on your part! You and others like you make statements that bring shame to America and for the ideals of Democratic Republic many have have died for, you fail to realize that America's greatness is based on its diversity, and that many of today's inventions and pharmaceuticals that have cured diseases and illnesses were discovered by foreign-born Americans. You should be upset with the same American companies that are sending American jobs overseas to India, Pakistan and South America where they pay below American minimum wages in sweatshops, with poor ventilation and poor sanitary conditions... where they abuse women and children... and make them work 10-12 hours a day without paid vacation, or medical benefits... yet these same American companies get tax incentives over in those countries from crooked government officials, and they get tax breaks here from America, then they want Americans to buy their products and to provide American protection but won't hire Americans... but companies like Walmart will hire illegals and cheat them out of a fair wage and give them NO benefits... while the super rich and powerful continue to amass fortunes and chumps like you are out in the streets talking your garbage, and your parents are supporting the same idiots that want YOU to join the armed services but they will never encourage their own children to go fight in a war designed to make money for Cheney's cronies who are profiteering at the expense of the war! GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN TO READ and learn FACTS! How are you going to blame Mexicans for this?

Do you have an inkling of an idea what the price of fruits and vegetables will be without the cheap labor poor Mexicans provide? Are YOU and your friends going to do the jobs they do for such low wages? They serve a purpose here in America, and it is not just to work for us... they bring work ethics; they work very hard for the pittance they're paid. YOU wouldn't work for what they must work for but you repeat the same dribble that was said about Asians during the 1800s to mid-1900s, the same dribble that was said about Blacks, which is the same dribble that was said about Italians and Irish and other groups... it DOES come around, you know.

The militant groups that are springing up all over the states is the result of idiots like you, and it is called RETALIATION. If you knew a bit of history you'd know that any group of people can and will only take but so much abuse before they are forced to organize and retaliate. Remember the Black Panthers? Remember the Young Lords? Remember the militant groups of the 60s? I'm sure that there are many others, like the groups of Native Americans, Asian Americans, etc.

So much talk about "illegals" by those whose parents faced different immigration laws... yeah, change the laws and make it impossible for brown and black immigrants...! People like you make Americans ashamed, and bring shame and dishonor to my many relatives and friends that served and died in each and every war and conflict this nation engaged in since the First World War until the present wars!

Oh, in case you're interested, Mexicans are not the only illegals here... there are many others from South and Central American countries, and many more from the Caribbean, Canada and Europe! Are you also concerned over those others... or is it just the Mexicans you're concerned about... or are you just worried that your sister or your female relatives may date one of "them"?
