Yes Once our borders are miltarized we can round these people up and put them on our mothballed miltary bases. Process them and send them back.
It is indeed possible only if we miltarize our borders with a shoot to kill policy. |

No....I don't.....That being said....We cannot SHOOT THEM BACK.....or line them up in an orderly fashion...and YES Bush did say it was impossible.
You are never going to get an answer to this question that appeases everyone.
WOW.....it amazes me that we keep kicking this dead horse. We need to submit our ideas, our fears, our concerns to our representatives. They are the ONLY ones who can create a policy that helps EVERYONE involved. |

With enough money and enough time, you can do anything...but the key is money. |

no..its not possible |

Well our military police took over two towns in South Korea this week, to build new US military bases, displacing all the residence, bulldozing their houses and property, while the citizens were holding on to their front doors, screaming and crying, so I would say yes we could do that in about 2 weeks. |

It will be fun trying. |

Yes it would be very easy. We take the National Guardsmen we have here just doing NOTHING, deputize selected civillans and EMPOWER local police to arrest illegals. On top of that, prosecute any NON-RELIGIOUS people (priests and such) that offer ANY assistance to ANY illegal alien. Prosecute ALL businesses that employ these criminals. TREAT THEM AS THE CRIMINALS THEY ARE. THAT is real, THAT is what must be done. The government wont do it, its up to the PEOPLE. |

yes if it will make your country safer but i think you should first give every one amnesty first |

It Would Be Easy And Cost Effective
The Third Provision Of HR4437 States
Anyone or any organization who “assists” an individual without documentation “to reside in or remain” in the United States knowingly or with “reckless disregard” as to the individual’s legal status would be liable for criminal penalties and five years in prison. This could include church personnel who provide shelter or other basic needs assistance to an undocumented individual. Property used in this act would be subject to seizure and forfeiture.
http://www.justiceforimmigrants.org/HR4437.html
5 Years In Prison And Loss Of All Assets Is A BIG Deterrent
No Employer In His Right Mind Would Hire An Illegal Immigrant
Within a month there would be ten million (more or less) people lined up at the Mexican border trying to get out of the United States And Back To Whatever Country They Came From.
No Work = No Stay = No Deportation Costs
No Work = No Come Back = No Reason To Build A Fortress Wall |

just go to a license plate office,no way |

it may not be probable, but it can be done.. as far as how much it would cost: consider how much we pay out in welfare, food stamps, childcare assistance, government funded medical assistance as well as federal and state income tax returns every year for these ppl and i think it evens out |
|

Kismet

not immediately no but over time if they keep up with it it's probably possibly. |
|

Liz
|
Honestly no, and I agree with you deporting 12 million people on a bus is just preposterous, that's why we should just shoot them back. They obviously ran here, so they can run back. |
|

BantamRooster68
 |
Nope. But we CAN deport all of the ones we can catch. And make it VERY unpleasant for the ones we can't, by making it hard to obtain education, jobs, medical care, housing, bank accts. and everything else they can get entirely too easily. That's MY solution to the problem at hand. |
|

baby_balla_gaby
 |
Nope. How will they fit 12 million peeps on a ship or car or whatever. |

thats impossible man...arriba los ilegales....we make this country... |
|

zqx357
|
all at once? its unlikely but as you catch them 1 to 100 at a time
YES YOU CAN!
LETS JUST DO IT
LETS GET THE JOB DONE!! |
|

Jessica
 |
Yes, it is possible to do it if the government would do the job. Of course, we wouldn't have so many here had the government been doing its job. |
|

superobotz

Not all at once...
I think 12 million people IN TOTAL were deported in WWII... |
|

I think it's possible, but not right.
The illegals here should be given a conditional amnesty, condition being that they are either employed or are being supported by someone. They should also be able to speak minimal English. Give them six months to meet the requirements, if they can't meet them or are not showing an effort to meet them, then deport them! |
|

old dude
|
IT IS DAMN SURE WORTH TRYING TO DO! |
|

fl722
|
Yes. It would take a massive effort, but I definitely believe it's possible and likewise something you'd find many, many, many people willing to help with.
You haven't said what people, under what conditions, or why - so I suspect the question is politically motivated. |
|

opie9909

well to be honest. no one does. bush said in a press conference like two weeks ago that he knows it to be impossible and which is y we need to find a different solution. so obviously it is impossible to accomplish such a feat and unrealistic. |
|

DAR
 |
Angi,
I don't think that is the route we should take, and if we did I am sure we wouldn't get all of them. However, by enforcing laws, not looking the other way, cracking down on employers, etc., I bet we could get quite a lot of them, and ruin the pleasure of being here for a lot more. The cost of supporting illegal immigrants through education and other social services is amazing, and I believe what we would save in those costs would go a long way towards paying for deportation.
HOWEVER, as I said, I don't favor that path for the majority, once our border is secure. |

si se puede!! but it would be suicide |

Carl S

Possible - yes, probable = no.
Preferable, yes - because even if you pick an old population estimate of 250 million, and 12 million are here illegally, that's 5 percent of the population who are siphoning off benefits government supposedly to citizens,
and not paying taxes to help supplement the services they are stealing.
Driving up health care costs by not being able to pay, making those of us who can pay, pay more, and insurance companies having to drive up premiums because of the higher costs they have to pay.
Sending portions of their pay to relatives still out of country, rather than investing in this country where they are working, forcing up this country's deficit. |

We don't even have the money for it!! Just leave the immigrants alone!!!I think its F*cked up also that this bill won't allow anyone to help a illegal immigrant even if he is dying of hunger. What happened to helping the poor?? and being a good person?? |

There is a possibility if the government will only follow my direction. Next time the democrats organize another "Down With Gringos" day and hold a mass rally, the INS, the Minutemen, State and Local police cordon off the area and make each protester prove their citizenship by showing a valid id. If your ID checks out, you may go about your business, but if it doesn't then get on the bus. They are illegally trespassing on American soil. |

it is possible, why not ... what about the children :( |
