Yes because I feel people should have the freedom to live where they want. While I pity the people who come here illegaly because I can understand there situation and there desperation to come here, I do not support illegal immigration.
That simple. |

Immigration yes, illegal immigration no. America was built by immigrants with the exception of the native Americans. Immigrants have contributed to making this country the best in the world. But illegal immigration is a crime. I would never support a crime. |

Immigration is good because it provides employment for people and a country can tap skills from people where it has not provided training and education. |

Depends, I think that we should make sure that all of the people already in the country have jobs first before we give any more away! |

Immigration? Yes i support immigration. If people from other countries want to make a better life for their families by all means fill out the paper work and i would be happy to share our beautiful diverse country with them.
However, i believe you are referring to illegal immigration. No i do not support it. And no i never will.
But if they do want to immigrate illegally we should make them go somewhere besides southern California. Its getting crowded here! There's a whole state with like 40 people living in it called Wyoming. MOVE THERE! |

They call me ... Trixie.

I absolutely support immigration - from any country, any religion, any race. As long as it's done legally. |
|

?

Legal, yes--but with quotas.
Illegal--no way.
We are not a nation of immigrants. 90% of American citizens were BORN here.
Furthermore, most of my ancestors came here in the 1600s and 1700s, BEFORE America was a nation. So that's not immigrating--that's colonizing.
The latest ancestors to come here were my great-grandparents on my father's side, who immigrated here from Russia (Belarus) and Poland. |

Legal or otherwise, NO. Our country is already overtaxed. |

Technically I do. I eat at restaurants knowing not all the staff speaks English, I shop at stores who hire migrant landscapers, I go to the hospital where they employ health care professionals from all over the world, I rode in a Taxi a few times. |

I support the immigrants who came legally based on our past laws, but with all the illegal immigration and the huge drain of funds for education and services for our own people, I think it should be limited going forward.
I am against illegal immigration and against refusal to enforce our laws. I am against benefits and employment magnets for illegal immigrants.
If the problem were solved with true border security including fences, dismantling of the magnets that draw them here and citizen suit enforceable interior enforcement I could go for screened legalization only for those here, not to bring in family. They would have to decide whether to go back to be with family, or stay knowing their family can only come if they satisfy standard requirements.
I actually think there are too many here, but I would feel badly deporting the good sort. Our schools are failing though, and I think saving our services for our own people should be the main concern. |

Yes.... immigration is what makes America the Great Melting Pot. Most of our ancestors immigrated as well. It should be done legally, and the nations of the world that we accept immigrants from should accept anyone from here that might want to immigrate there. Thanks for the great question... |
