I'm on the fence on this one. I can see both sides of the coin, and have strong opinions on each side. I just think it's a shame that people have to resort to sneaking into a country because their own government is so corrupt that they can't survive there. The way to fix the problem is to fix the governments.

I am all for immigration...just go about it the right and legal way. If you haven't done that, then I don't think you have a right to be here.

I believe that people should abide by the rules. My family did when they came to this country and so should the rest. I also believe that all immigrants should learn to speak English and i don't think that we should waste money reprinting stuff in five different languages. If we were in their country we would be required to learn their language. I do try to think of the desperation these people must feel to leave their home and families and come to a country where they are not wanted. Unable to speak the language. It must be very scary. I'm wondering how much it cost for deportation I think there must be some other solution for the U.S. and the country the illegal people come from to come up with.

At the end of every day,I am still against amnesty(although I am open to a few very very limited plans Ive heard).I still think that slow steady deportations would serve this nation the best in the long run or in addition to the amnesty of a very few.Sanctuary city's should have all state and federal funds cut off until they are in compliance with this country's laws and they need to be fined daily until they comply..
I fully support the Border Patrol and also the Minute Men that are helping to spot illegals and directing the BP to them for arrest.

Absolutely 100% behind the Border Patrol. I support Ramos and Compean and have sent contributions to their defense fund (gee does that somehow make me a racist? Maybe I should ask the ACLU?)
Sanctuary Cities should have ALL Federal and State Funds cut. Their taxing authority should be rescinded and their leaders should be arrested and tried for aiding and abetting criminals. Sorry guys, the law is the law and YOU do not get to pick and choose the ones you want to enforce. Declare martial law in those cities until such time that they can stand up a management structure that will enforce federal law.

I support them but they need to do their job a little bit better. And we need to enforce harsher sentences on people who have attempted to cross illegally multiple times, all we do now is give them a slap on the wrist and tell them to go back home. I believe in deportation on a massive scale, they broke the law. The penalty for illegally migrating to Mexico is a two year jail sentence. How ironic...

Hmmm, I seem to be on the fence as well on some of these, but I do of course support our Border Patrol, and as far as being pro or anti it would depend on what aspect of each we're speaking about at the time it comes up. I support amnesty only for certain people or a guest worker program but both would have certain conditions for qualifications. I also support deportation BUT on of those caught with a criminal record, those already in our jails or somehow breaking the law (besided being her illegally that is) and deportation of those caught committing welfare fraud. Not particularly in favor of sanctuary cities myself.

I am so sick of working my butt off to feed, clothe, school and bring more illegals into the country. I have my own family to take care of!

They have clogged up the whole welfare and health system. I live in a border town between Texas and Mexico. No one speaks English and the politicians are corrupt. The hospital overcharges the citizxens with insurance so that they don't have to absorb so much of the FREE care given to the illegals who suimply walk across the bridge. Free births (then they're in as a family). Free heart surgery. Free food and housing. No wonder they pour across. Even school is taught in Mexican so that the illegal children will not fall behind the rest of the class.

It may be too late now. There are so many here now that they are a very large voting block. They will continue to breed and vote to bring in others unmtil they overwhelm the country.

Of course citizens support border control, how to keep illegals out otherwise. The question is not smart. Illegals are not starving refugees, have not seen a thin one yet. They are the poor Fox encouraged to go here. American has greatly helped Mexico, so Mexico can help their own poor. If they are strong enough to cross the desert they are strong enough to get schooling in Mexico like the other Mexicans/South Americans.

Don't mix it up. I am for a secure border with a solid and well equipped border patrol.

I am also Pro-AMNESTY (not illegal) and am undecided about sanctuary cities.

I do support the fact that there needs to be a America that is free from illegals, but i think that none of us deserve to be in this wonderful country more than the next person. So, Yes i am very much for amnesty.
