No, I think we should require those who want to be active, participating citizens in the United States to learn a passable knowledge and usage of English. |

Absoulely not! English is the official language, and was the language this nation was found upon. If we change it to Spanish, we let those who do not know English think that everything is going to be a convenience to them. |

NO!! This is America and we speak English. If someone wants to live here they should learn how to speak and read English. If we were to move to another country they wouldn't change their currency to English just because we lived there. |

NO. I do not feel like that we should change our currency. When we visit other countries or if we chose to live in another country we would be expected to either change our money to theirs or accept and convert it ourselves when we make purchases. America is the great melting pot of the world. that doesn't mean that we have to make everything according to them that means that all are welcome to come but all must make the sacra fices necessary to live learn and exhist in one accord. If Mexicans want their money to be Mexican then GO BACK TO MEXICO. We have not changed for Samoans,French Chinese,Japanese, or any other culture or race so what is it that makes Spanish speaking people think that the would owes them Come to America and live ,pay taxes and learn the English language, If you wish to become a citizen great we will help you and we will embrace you and your children just please don/t come here and deplete our funds that have been established for the sick and widowed or orphaned while you work tax free and send all your money back to another country. |

Enough Hispanics work in this country legally and illegally and they already obviously know what the value of the money is. |

Hell no, if you are gonna live here you speak the language. If they don't like it they can go back the hell where they came from. Most of the ones who can't speak or read english are probably frickin illegal aliens anyway. |
|

 |
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! I have ancestry from Greece France and Germany. They learned, so can everybody else! Nobody thinking straight could possibly expect to make a life in another country without making some serious changes. Language being one of them. To expect otherwise would be completely unrealistic. And if somebody who wants to live in this country is not up to the challenge of speaking English then their heart really is not in it. Do we really want to welcome that attitude? |

Absolutely not. Is this another one of their demands that I haven't heard about yet? We cater to them enough as it is. |

That's the one language the illegals do understand....American Greenback. If they wanted Spanish on the money they'd stay in Mexico and earn Pesos. |

what would be the point of that?
Numbers are universal |

Its not really necessary. Currency all around the world has the same arabic numerals that we use. even if you don't speak the language of a foreign country, you can still tell how much currency you have. So really there's no need. Printing in spanish would only inflame political tensions, not do anything constructive. |

No, not at all. I dont know if you noticed but American currency pretty much looks the same as it did decades ago. Obviously there were some changes to prevent counterfiting, but nonetheless, the reason for the same look is so that our currency appears to be stable (I'm not talking about inflation). Some countries have changed their currency several times (i.e. European countries converting to the Euro). By changing the language, it would defeat the whole purpose of having the same "look". |
