If I could offer a another insight.... SEAL THE BORDER. Then go after businesses that hire illegals and fine them to the moon and back. If you dry up the well you have to look elsewhere for water... so if you dry up the jobs they take they'll in effect, deport themselves.

i agree with you it upsets me also should i be allowed to break the law and if i do will they just let me go no if you are somewhere illegally you should have to go home also 50 years ago when someone spent the time to get to the USA legally they learned the language i should not have to learn Spanish to see my Dr or get my car fixed

After they have confessed to their crimes and pled guilty to the felony charges, self-deported themselves and returned to their home country, I would be in favor of giving them amnesty for their crimes-I certainly don't want to pay for the millions of criminals here to be incarcerated at taxpayer expense. Of course, this does NOT mean their crimes wold be "erased" from their records-they would still have felony convictions in the US, and therefore be ineligible to reenter the country. We have to start rewarding legal behaviour and making illegal behaviour undesirable!

It sends a bad message. If you give amnesty to the 12 plus million illegals you are sending a message that breaking the law gets you rewarded, and there is something so wrong with that on so many levels.

I am not against a few adjustments to the workers program or even the immigration process OR better yet enforce the laws and stop illegal immigrants at the border.

This is another example of the control business has over our government. This bill only helps keep wages low. It really does not help anyone else. Those that wait legally for entry are ill served, the aliens are kept little more than slaves, and the American citizen end sup burdened with the expense of this fiasco. That includes fighting the gangs that are importing their violence into our country. My father was a legal immigrant from Italy. He served in the Army and was proud to become a citizen. These aliens want to use the U.S. as a cash cow for them and their family back home.

It's time to put a stop to this. Call your "elected" representative and tell them how you feel. Burn up their fax machines to prevent this legislation from becoming law.

No, breaking the law to get here is not the right start for a new life. The financial burden placed upon the legal citizens of this country by accepting this situation is not put forth in the main stream media. One chief argument for the illeagals is that they are only here to work and are paying their taxes like everyone else. Well I lot of people I know only try to cheat on their taxes and being illegal means no real social security number.

Do you think that talking is going to do anything about it? Look there is 12 million illegals here. If 1/3 of them are actually working that 3 million. That means that there are 3 million employers hiring them. Why are these business being so unamerican? Its time to bypass the government we need to organize just like the illegals do. If they have a march with 100,000 people we the american people should have a march with millions of people! If a business hires illegals Americans should boycott there products. Figuratively speaking, in the past 3 criminals were pardoned to end and address the crime, in response 20 more concluded they can get away with the same crime, citing America's last cowardly lapse of moral conscience.
Today the criminal and immoral are proving that their betrayal was not only weak today, but an open invitation for twice as many again to commit the same criminal act!

I at one time worked in a factory where i was ONE of 15 that spoke English! I was lucky to have the job because it was a job. Was it fabulous? No. Did it pay bills? Yeah and a little extra so I could save for school. I know of many others that would love to work but can't find jobs because it is cheaper to hire Illegals.

Would a college educated person take the job? Likely not. Is all of America Computer literate and college educated? No. Can all of America afford a college education? No. Many can't even afford to see a doctor. Not long ago though they were pushing for free education FOR THE ILLEGALS!

First off no Amnesty should not be granted. Laws have been made, there are penalities for braking those laws. Period. If rape is on the rise does one shorten the sentence?? Of course not, because it will cause the incidents of rape to go up. Even a person who would never think of rape because of the harsh penalities might say the penalites aren't to bad so why not??
As for the founding Fathers rolling in their graves, they would have started rolling in their graves when immigration laws first were put on the books because they would have been illegal themselves according to immigration law.

The argument that we can't reward illegal activity is a weak one. There are illegal aliens who have their status changed to legal every day. The only difference between what is happening now and what would happen under an "amnesty" plan is more people will be eligible for adjustment of status.
My ancestors came from Italy and Ireland. I don't consider it a slap in the face to them because the reality now is very different then when my grandfather came here in 1921.
