Do you think illegal immigration is hurting the economy?

For instance I am a former mechanic that lost my job to outsourcing.So I got online and found a job paying half what I made(8.00an hr) but it stated that they provided housing. I was planning to go work and send the money home to my family since the job was too far to commute. The employer informed me that they only provided housing "to their mexicans" Since rent in the area is around 600.00 a month I wasn't able to take the job. This was farm work and after checking with several other farms I found this to be common practice in this area of Alabama. I am convinced that INS is a joke and if you dont believe it. Try finding work in Alabama many places dont even have applications in english!!

I live in Arizona and work security within the housing construction industry, I can easily see that the wages are lower for legitimate construction workers.

I don't think they are hurting the economy, I know they are. And you are absolutely right, ICe doesn't work, Our federal government doesn't work. No one is regulation, detaining Illegals. SOmething needs to be done to stop this nonsense. Once and for all!!!

At any rate... Yeah. I think it is hurting the economy, but only because our system is screwed to begin with.
If we start taking money from those that have, and giving it to those that have not, then that's where it starts to go wrong...
There will always be more that have not than those that have.

In a perfect world, these Mexicans could come here and work and earn an honest wage just like the rest of us, and we wouldn't have to support fat lazy Mexicans (which, there are ironically very few lazy Mexicans in the USA compared with the rest of our population) OR stinky white trash or ghetto hoodrats, or whatever other negative stereotype that's available for a societal leach..

If you can't support your own lifestyle, no one should have to support it for you...
Unfortunately, we've been trained to believe that every American deserves healthcare, schooling, etc...
The government has proven itself incredibly inneficient running those types of social programs. Couple their bumbling inneficiency with people looking for a handout, and you've got yourself a problem.

Maybe if you rent a small room you maybe able to get for 300 dollars.

$8 p/h x 160 hours(4 weeks) = $1280 because you are in 15360 bracket you are going to pay very low taxes.

you may get around 1000 dollars a month.

1000- 300 for the rent leaves you with 700 dollars.If you cook your food everyday you may get buy with 150 a month. so you still have 650 dollars. with gas,water and electricity you may pay another 100. you still have 550 dollars.

I dont know who said this on the t.v. but it said we need people to start spending money so that the economy can start all over clean...so i think we need people so that they can start spending money and can help the economy

the U.S.A would go broke then it already is.
there are many hispanics that are illegal and have houses but they lose those house because they lose their jobs for not having a green card. those immigrants with houses who get deported lose those home.
so the U.S.A is worsing our economy by deporting all the immigrants.
and why doesn't the U.S.A give immigrant their green card just imagine all the millions of dollars the U.S.A would make from this.
and they wouldn't have to spend so much money on ICE.

Another thing americans need to learn is that not all hiapnics come from mexico and not all chinese people come from china. we hispanics have different food other than just mexican food!!
