Not absurd,OBSCENE!I believe that "when in Rome do as the Romans do".We wouldn't be allowed to behave as we wish in their countries,so why should they be allowed to behave as they wish in ours.If they don't like it,why are they here? |

it is a disgrace , especially when in england the likes of dressing up in santa outfit at christmas has been banned in certain cities ..... there is an old saying ... WHEN IN ROME.....!!! |

I think this whole illegal thing is absurd and that we as Americans are just letting them ruin our Country |

If you have adopted a modern country, do not use outdated or orthodox behaviour! |

I can see how it can be seen as somewhat rude at least. However, as hosts, it's up to us to establish and enforce standards of behavior, as well as control who is let in. Cut the masked ones a little slack when it comes to practicing their religion which is their right. We should draw the line on remaining masked in Driver's License photo's though, which undermines the purpose of the document to begin with! |

only time i would think that is wrong is if they refused to take it off for a driver's license or in a court room and such |

Immigrants you mean legal or illegal?...if you mean legal, everyone here except the Native Americans are immigrants and/or descendants of immigrants.
Last I heard freedom to follow your religious beliefs is not a crime and one of the major reasons this country was born in the first place.
Having said that, I believe disrespect of any kind is not acceptable and should not be |

It is absurd for them to go to another nation, protest the rights of the citizenry and demand they adapt to their old country tenets. If they choose to wear a veil, that is their business, but they have no right to insist the religious accoutrements and other traditions of their adoptive country be removed from public view.
It is outrageous when they burn a nation's flag, refuse to speak the language, demand benefits to the detriment of the citizenry, or treat those citizens with contempt. It is an outrage when they threaten they are taking over and nothing can be done to stop it. That is the worst behavior. |

I wouldn't go so far as to say absurd. But key is to fit in and if it's just impossible to adapt....atleast have the decency not to be "offended" or require special services or demand others to adapt to you. I heard it was difficult for asians to get used to people looking you in the eye because it's rude to do so in thier countries. I'm sure it's difficult for some who come from a male dominate society to deal with women in certain situations. etc. It's an adjustment. I just don't understand why people would even consider immigrating to a culture they have no interest in adapting to. There's just some places where I'd never go and live because it's just too different for me and would expect me to alter myself too much to mesh in and get along. |

I think you need to look at what the behaviour. Should those that come to this country adopt to our American coulture, yes, but you can do that without taking away from whom those people are. Marshmellow issues like covering your face or wearing a turbin, no, but speaking the language and respecting and following our laws, yes. |

Well, America is a free country so I believe that people from other countries should be able and allowed to follow their beliefs as long as it does not break any law, or show disrespect for our own culture. I am disgusted by the fact that people are coming here from other countries and disrespecting or even trying to change our culture and beliefs. For example, if we want to sing the Star Spangled Banner before a sporting event we should be allowed to freely. |

I think it is sad that we had some good Americans, now they are wasting their lives pretending to be ANTI-ILLEGALS. |

illegal immigrants and the time they are causing us to waste on a problem they have caused is absurd. It is time to put this issue to a vote by THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. We know what we want and a vote will settle the issue for all involved. Our country has wasted far more money debating and arguing this topic than a national vote would ever have cost. |

Like picking your nose in public, having chicken and dog fights in the back yard, spitting on the street, keeping farm animals in the yard.Yes it is absurd. Why do we even have to deal with this crap? I thought the the US was a pretty modern country,it seems we are being forced to step back in time to a more primative way of life. I hate it . |

Having come to this country ,and being given far more then we native English people could hope for in the way of housing benefits etc ,you would think they would go out of there way to integrate , but no they want to carry on exactly as they do in there own country , they bribe thieve burn there women etc etc etc , corruption is a way of life in there culture as the cabinet minister Vaz is a prime example of with the passport scam ,is it any wonder they hide there faces ? |

Nothing is offensive to 'the country' - it's just offensive to you.
Please don't apply your own preferences to the rest of us, some of us don't really care what other people do so long as they give us the same treatment. |
