Sorry about that, But illegal is illegal, we need to start enforcing our laws. |

It is a shame for the son that his parents broke the law. Yes, they should be deported. |

How many laws should they be allowed to break before they are deported? |

yes of course. if you want to live in America come here legaly |

I think we should follow the laws on our books...deport...
what do you mean "the family hasn't broken any other laws except for that one"
how do they pay taxes? using someone else's social security number?
as for their son they should have thought about that before they decide to break the laws
Edit: I do not know what country they are from...I have no thought on that illegal is illegal no matter where they are from. |

The key word is not immigrant, it's the word "illegal". It doesn't matter which country people are coming from, they need to do it legally. Respect the laws.
I can sympathize with the hopes and dreams of all immigrants coming to America, but our laws should be enforced to make sure that it is done legally with requirements to speak the national language.
It costs legal citizens billions of extra tax dollars each year to pay for medical and public services used by illegal immigrants... And I have an issue with that.
I personally know 2 people who became citizens the legal way, and it is not fair to them either to have waited, paid taxes and learned fluent english, while watching others crawl across the border illegally and bypass the system.
It's also bad for national security to have such poorly guarded borders. I don't understand why people act like we should be the only country in the world who shouldn't have secure borders, and know who and when people enter and leave. |

Yes, they should be deported.
And who's social security number are these scumbags using to "pay taxes" with? |

DEPORTATION NOW is the answer for you. |

If they are here illegally then yes they should be. Their son can come back when he's older and do it the right way. The family can do that now as well. Just because it takes years is no reason to not do it legally. |

Even though it seems unfair, the law's the law. If one family is allowed to stay, all them should be able to. Nobody has the right to discriminate between which families who came here illegally should stay.
They can go through the different procedures and come here legally. |

Hmm... okay, so this kid who's doing well in school could not learn the language of his parents, which he's probably been immersed in since he was a toddler, but his parents could come here without probably knowing one word of English and thrive?!? I don't believe you. |

That's the risk they take. They don't belong here |

I'm confused by the information you added later. Did the family enter illegally or not? If they did, then yes, regardless of how long they've been here, they entered illegally and do not deserve a head of the line pass for breaking the law. They need to go back to their country and complete the process. It's not America's fault that the parents messed up the child's life, the fault falls on the parents. I don't know which country they are from, there are illegal aliens from dozens of countries living in the U.S. that need to be deported. |

I'm gonna start another riot

The son is the parents problem. They created the problem let them own up and take responsibility and fix it.They pay taxes what does that have to do with anything. What is this game of, if we pay taxes we are not responsible for our actions? |

I think they should be deported for being there illegally. Their son can adjust to life in the old country just like other 16 yo. kids who immigrate with their parents can adjust to life in their new countries. Even better since his parents speak their language fluently and can help him adjust.
Should his parents be able to use him as a ticket to stay? Should any illegal immigrant who brings a kid and manages to hide for a number of years be able to stay?
I do have a problem with the US system though for the reason that it makes legal immigration hard and turns a blind eye to illegals. If they had work authorization for 5 years, what was the point of taking it away from them when there are obviously plenty of jobs out there for all the people who stay illegally? The US needs to be tougher on illegal immigration and make it easier to immigrate legally. |

the only way it could have been taken away was if it was illegal in the first place. If you break the law(illegal entry in this country) you must pay. I say deport them, if they want to stay here, apply for citizenship and do what it takes to become a citizen. Otherwise you should be deported. |

I don't think the child should be punished for what his parents did. Neither do I think that it would set a very good precedent to simply sweep the fact that they are illegal immigrants under the rug. This wouldn't be a very good life lesson for their son either.
People who enter this country illegally should be prosecuted. Talk about a double standard - see how far you get in Mexico by sneaking across the border.
"A foreign national in violation of the terms of his/her authorized stay will be expelled from the country."
No gray areas there. |

I agree with most here that the family should be deported. If they first came to this Country legally and then did something to get their visa pulled, then I would like to know what they did to get it pulled? Did they just let it lapse or did they do something that got it pulled? Either way it is their fault and they need to abide by the laws and leave. Once they are back in their Country and it does not matter what Country that may be from, (it could be Russia for all I care) then they can go through the process of trying to come back legally. They need to self deport or if caught and deported they will be banned for at least 10 years. |

i only robbed ONE bank, should i go to prison........the answer is yes, and the answer to your question is yes. There should be a sweep of the entire country to get every last illegal here, regardless of there country of origin. Illegal is illegal, or did the definition get changed without me noticing? |

my family immigrated here during the ar. some where left behind, some made it in. My family never held a grudge, worked hard, and made something of their lives. The One thing we didn't do , is come here illegally and expect to be just let in! Maybe the answers reflect the strong struggle and hardship ANY LEGAL IMMIGRANT has gone though to get here, Or maybe the illegals make the legal immigrants look bad. Why are you so quick to just brush aside our struggle? Why should I then sympathize with an illegal expects to be able to stay and get ahead of everyone else. The laws are in place for a reason, deport all illegals and let them come here legally, just like the rest of us! |

it doesn't matter where they are from, deport ALL! this kid is getting an education he does not deserve. he has his family to blame for making him a criminal, his making something of his self should be done in his home country and not here. him and his family have broken the law. Deport them!!! |
|

Yes, deport them all. |

No, they should not be deported. They should however try to get their work authorization renewed and hire a lawyer so that they do not encounter any problems with citizenship in the future. |

I think that unless they have a felony they should be allowed to stay if they are not causing problems. My husband had the same thing he was paying taxes with a social security number he was given when he had a work permit but it was expired and he was deported and has a child. Honestly it doesn't matter what anybody here thinks because the law doesn't care what we think and they will be deported. Sorry to say but its true. Doesn't matter about having a child or paying taxes or anything they are illegal.
Are you from central America?
Don't worry about what these people write instead of replying with rude comments they should be thanking god they were born in the U.S.A and never had to go through some of the stuff illegal immigrants had to go through. |

no, unless family is constantly giving others trouble. The police is being called for domestic violence, etc. Overall if they are willing to work without having to depend on the govt. I think is great and they are welcome. |
