No. That right is reserved for citizens and legal residents.
They do not have "civil rights." They have "human rights." This is an important distinction. Also, to infer that the Constitution is bestowing rights on illegals is like assuming that illegals have the right to bear arms and vote. "The people" in the Constitution very specifically means "the citizens" of the USA.
Wikipedia
Civil Rights
Civil rights are the protections and privileges of personal liberty given to all citizens by law. Civil rights are distinguished from "human rights" or "natural rights"—civil rights are rights that are bestowed by nations on those within their territorial boundaries, while natural or human rights are rights that many scholars claim ought to belong to all people. |

I do not think it is politically correct for them to protest and walk the streets like they are doing. The government is proving that they have no control. I believe that if it were another race of people doing it, they would be holding people back and arresing people for participating. It is not fair. |

I agree with you. They have human rights, but they are not entitled to the rights of American citizens as outlined in the Constitution. That means they had no legal right to protest. |

Yes they have a right under the first admentment of the US Constitution...but they are not breaking a law. Besides if you checked out how many immigrants have business own I bet you would have second thoughts at eating at your local Mc Donalds. And yes if they are illegal they give about 11.7 Billion dollars to the American Economy not to mention yes they have taken only 2.89 back. I think it's more than a fair trade. Besides the immigrants do most of they nasties jobs that there are here. |

Half of the people in this country are immigrants. Your grandparents or great grandparents were probably immigrants. |

Why are they not protesting against their own government instead of instead of coming here & protesting how they are treated here? |

No. They have no rights at all unless they are in this country legally. Bottom line. |

Yes they have that right; and sadly we have the right to have them arrested and thrown out; but won't do it. We have no will to survive as a nation anymore. Its obvious our laws only mean something to a few and typically to those on the opposite side of a political fence.
Its funny; if you we're to travel to Mexico and protest their government - they'd throw you in jail. Its against their law for an immigrant to protest, and illegal immigrants in Mexico are felons who get 2 year terms of incarceration. |

what has the immigrants done to America actually? Yes, they do bring problems, but they r filling in demands as well. They fill the jobs that otherwise nobody would wanna fill. Because of this, wages and salaries are kept low. Maybe u love to see wages rising fast. But if wages rise fast, inflation would rise faster and soon u would not have enough $$ to afford some of the basic things u can now even with higher salary. And high inflation would ruin the economy, making investment and trade with America unattractive. Maybe u tot, without trades with countries like India and China, American would have more jobs for themselves. But, this would only benefit some Americans, like the textile manufacturers, while the rest of America pays for the price thru higher inflation and lower currency exchange and worse economy. You would be able to earn more money, but these money would be worth less than b4.
Immigrants are wiling to provide low cost labour that give America the competitive advantage. Acts to ban cheap imports in the name of protecting American industries, and immigrants in the name of protecting American labour force, are short sighted measures that would make America uncompetitive in the long run.
I'm sure a lot of ppl r feeling the pressure of inflation now with gas price above $3. If immigrants r deported without proper planning, u will see a lot more of these spikes in prices. |

The fact that your name is "country boy" lets it be known that you have little room for tolerance. Once you pick cotten or lettuce OR scrub public toilets..........don't ask. |

i think illegal immigrants have the right to do anything they want. They are humans. Just like citizens can do anything they want so should illegals. Why dont americans realize that they are being hypocritical? May i remind you of the pledge of alligence? "one nation under God with LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!" Everyone pledges for this but no one really does it. tHe pledge of alligence does not say for all citizens but for ALL. Ever notice when Ameicans go to Mexico they take over and treat Mexicans with disrespect? I think that people going to Mexico should have some sort of papers like Mexicans need to come into the US. And if they're caught without papers they should get deported.
I understand that people say that they have no rights because they are not citizens and they are breaking the law,, but can we look back at American history? dont you remember when it was against the law for African Americans to be free? Just because there's laws doesnt mean that they are correct. |

If they pay ALL the taxes that the rest of us pay, are legal citizens of this country, permanent or temporary, not under any kind of warrant, MARCH AWAY!! MARCH MARCH MARCH!!
Otherwise, I think enough is enough.
I do think this situation is a huge thing that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg right now and could really get interesting to say the least. |

Well, the Bill of Rights is the codification of the rights we all have as human beings, and these rights antecede and supercede the Constitution itself.
So, they do have these rights.
But they don't have the right not to be arrested and deported, and refused re-entry. |

Speaking as a Puerto Rican American I think that all the protesters are not illegal. But to the ones that are, go back home and come back by going through the proper steps to become a citizen. |
