Do you think that people should just stay in their own country?
Find answers to your legal question.

Do you think that people should just stay in their own country?

Let's face the fact. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. It is no secret that you can come to the United States (among many other nations) and even if you are on welfare, you can have cable, a cellphone, an I-Pod and stay warm. Everybody knows that and they all want to leave their "developing nations" to go to these countries in which you can make money. Let's face it...there just aren't enough jobs for everyone. I'm not saying that there should be laws installed requiring that everyone stays home, but wouldn't it just make sense if everyone in the world would have national pride and just stay there as it is kind of their problem if they were born in a bush in Sub-Saharan Africa?

I didn't say that there should be laws against it. I said that in regards to national pride. You love your country so much, you may as well stay there! Anyways, this question was kind of a joke and from a cynical standpoint as I am moving to Brazil in July. My family has been in California for eleven generations myself on my dad's side and seven or eight on my mom's.

No if you came from place where you had no opportunities and were oppressed you would want to leave. People want to be happy sometimes that might mean leaving where they are born.

If everyone stayed in one country the world would be very naive

If you have traveled to poor countries or countries with corrupt government you would see why.

If I am correct you are an american. Do you realise many of the people that do the jobs like gardeners cleaners that you wouldn't because their life was so bad. Also can you imagine how hard it would be to be in a country you don't know the language. Your perspective will change after you move countries and live in brazil a bit.

Are you American Indian? If not didn't your ancestors orginally come from some other country? National Pride os one thing but it's hard to proud when you family is starving & have no education. What about Human pride!

While i think people have every right to try to better themselves i do believe they should come here or elsewhere legally. They need sponsors as in the past and be able to support themselves.I shouldn't have to support others at the loss of money for myself.I think the government needs to stop giving hand outs to undocumented peoples.

Well ' at most i think that if they want to stay here they should learn English and respect our laws , why should it be the other way around were not living in Mexico or whair ever other then america .. if we were then we should learn theres ..just the same

I don't think people should be allowed in. I'm here already, I'm what America's been waiting for! But seriously we already have enough burrito makin, strawberry pickin, can't speak english, some guy currently doing my backyard and His wife is cleaning my living room, to even profit from illegal aliens jeez!!!!

If everyone stayed put, got educated, worked hard and only had children they could support the whole world would be better off.
It does no good to run away. There are no uninhabited islands to discover anymore and set up your own government. You have to work with the hand your dealt.

Anybody from any country can come here and visit. If they want to stay and live here they better do it legally.

no, the world is free to go whereever you want to go as long as you have the right papers, who cares just live your own life and don't worry about what other people do , right crumbcakes?

Ya heard me
Or at least come legally. For the ones that spit out the Native American stuff, get off your high horse, read some History, they came from Asia. Yes, some are lucky enough to be born here in the U.S. but our own ancestors fought for what we have. That does not mean we have to open our borders and support every 3rd world citizen that chooses to come here illegally.

Roxanne G
no because perhaps you don't like the country you live in. there would be a high suicide rate and murder rate in all countries.

Love Canada
Aren't you glad your ancestors made the move?

Listen. You, too, I am assuming, were born in America. Therefore, no matter what your lifestyle was growing up, I'm willing to bet that you've lived comfortably for the vast majority of it. You haven't had to make the decision to move, and many of these people are deserving of a good life.

That being said, in any group of people, there are good eggs and bad eggs. I don't mind one bit if a Mexican immigrant comes up here and works hard to get a job. On of my closest friends' mom is an immigrant and she's worked her *** off to get a degree in nursing. I do, however, care if an immigrant comes to get a minimum wage job, does it half-assedly, and doesn't bother to learn English.

Just because it's the country you live in, it's not really YOUR country, and I'll get a lot of **** for this, but it shouldn't be. What gives you any more right to be living here?

I think that people should be able to move outside of their country, but thats just me.

Few non-Western countries have opportunities for social mobility. Just wait until you get to Brasil and see the sprawling favelas full of people who never had a chance to go to high school. Its hard to be proud of your country when it offers you no chance of anything more than poverty. America offers these people not only a chance to "stay warm" but a chance to make money and get an education. Only here could a poor immigrant become a CEO or doctor. So its no surprise that they come here in droves. Their own countries need to get their act together.

These are the views of the national socialist party. That whites belind in Europe/Canada/America, and blacks, Africa; and Asians Asia... So on and so forth. I belong to them.

When they are not wanted, yes they should. The Congress put the current immigration laws over on us, and the real estate folks wanted it to continue forever. VERY, very dumb. This country doesn't have the water assets to do that all by itself. Many more reasons too and that bull about the Horn of Plenty went a-dreaming.

If the Immigrants are wanted.. yes they should go.

I like this question. I think that we need to answer it as though we were the president. In parts. First part. Yes everyone enjoys a good piece of pie. Especially if someone else is buying. In good economic times people are more tolerant of sharing thier pie with others
Today however if you put your finger on my plate I'll stab you. Ok next part. Lets face it. If these "developeing nations" had some pie maybe these low life country invading scumbags would stay there. So see part one of answer for part two. Part three. If you have national pride and want to celebrate your countries freedoms and what have you. Show your pride by going back to that "Great Country" and celebrating it there. My ansestors are from Germany and I have never celebrated a single German holiday. Are there any? Cinco De Mayo? Why is this important in America? If your so proud of your heritage please preserve it in your beloved country of dirt huts and dirty water.4th of July is the only important day in American history.

I would love to see the open border lobby preach to Iran, Saudi Arabia,China and tell these countries everybody can come and go and do as they please and do whatever they want and see how far they get

NEED HELP!
Yes, ancestors of the Europeans need to stay in Europe instead of destroying the lives of Native Americans.

nickipettis
i don't think so.

Ashton
was your parents in america or where ever you live for ever? why didnt they just stay put

No, because some countries have more opportunity than others.
