Ignorance is ugly. A lot of people think they understand what the issues are in immigration, but they are very poorly informed. For example, someone recently forwarded me a passionate petition, signed by lots of people, demanding that English be a requirement for citizenship. In fact, English has been a requirement for citizenship for many years. They're angrily demanding laws that already exist. Ignorance. |
