Is it not stupid to believe that all illegals want to immigrate???
or that the use of oxymorons like "Illegal immigrants " is anything but stupid (Immigrants R legal, the illegals are not duh!
No one knows the INTENT of any illegal let alone their "character/work ethic, criminal history, additions, medical status/communicable diseases...etc..
What is stupid is having laws that are created to stop illegals YET never funded/enforced. this alone says much about the acuity of the population that has forgotten that they empower and pay the legislators salaries...

I'd say the stupidity of our government "leaders" keeps the borders open, causing millions of illegal immigrants to believe it is o.k. to come here and attempt to take over our country.

Homeland Security's Michael Chertoff claims that our laws re: illegal immigration are "unenforcable". Stupid? Yes. E-mail him with your comments. We can tell them how to enforce these laws.

You're so right. The stupidity of the people who blame impoverished Mexicans for seeking a decent wage while ignoring the large American corporations who make their profits by exploiting them for low wages IS to blame.

If we as a people continue to ignore our rights, and our laws, we soon won't have either. Turning a blind eye to things such as illegal immigration won't make it go away. People, stand up for your rights as United States Citizens, and if our government won't hear us - kick their sorry backsides out of office and get people in there who will.
People are so fed up with the way things are going. This country is divided, and we have our government to thank for that, as well as many people who just stand idly by.

- Most of these stats were compiled pre-internet, before the new "global economy". We have seen through history that from all countries competing all against each other, the ones who succeed are the ones who adapt themselves.

Now, taking in consideration that people in the united states are aging at an alarming rate, also considering that students at school have poor grade, ask yourself:

- Do I realize that most of the news from which I base my judgment is provided my corporate America and might be biased to fit THEIR NEEDS ?

- Let say so far I loved the way it is been in The USA since 1975 up to now, do I realize that statue quo is very improbable from now on with the venue of new technology and a global population more aware then ever that wealth comes through education ?

- And finally, which following scenario would I like the most in my older years or for my childrens:

1- Mostly free entry of people through immigration, sometime annoying for their use of different language, culture and religion, but where there is still lots of medium sized business, and community and health services available for its citizens, mostly its senior citizens. These immigrants would be paying taxes in the us, would buy houses in the us and make most of all their spending in the us.

2- A country where mostly the only jobs are on the high side, with people managing call centers, research centers and business done OUTSIDE of the usa, providing a few very good jobs but NOTHING for "regular" people, no career opportunities unless expatriating ourselves outside in India, Asia or other parts of the world.

I understand none of these options seems better then what we used to live, but we have to admit that the world is changing ! Labor cost is driving most big corporations in foreign countries, where workers donÂ´t pay taxes to the United States and donÂ´t contribute to the local economy. The United States could easily become in 20 years a big empty bubble where the medium class will only rely on tourism

First sentence is correct. Second one is just the opposite to reality. It is the street smartness that causes Illegal Immigration, not the stupidity. Stupidity lies in legalizing the illegals.

what is stupid is all of you who dont understand illegal immigration. you think "why don't those people just come here legally or get a damn visa"...HELLO!!!!!! ITS NOT EASY!!!!! think about it, someone files to get someone here legally in 1988, after about 20 years , they get the notification that that person can come here legally years from now. that person has patience. its not a quick process so some immigrants resort to illegal immigration. most american citizens don't have that kind of patients so it is hiporcritical for you to expect them to have it. and what do you mean stupidity allows it? do you want heat seeking missles and turrets to be installed around the border to stop them? or do you want a wall to be built? oh wait! they are building a wall, guess who's building it? MEXICANS!!! a wall is being built to keep them same people that are building it out of the US. wow, that makes sense!
