Protest all they want. If they kept their country up to better standards their people wouldn't be trying to escape. Course, they like that flow of money being sent back across their border.
Raisin a glass ta the auld man! I say the same. |

They can hold their breath 'til their faces turn blue, for all I care.
That goes for the UN as well. |

NO, they are not citizens of the US. Read their laws for immigrating into Mexico |
|

ItsJustMe

Agreed! They have no say over how we control our borders. We are a sovereign nation, fighting an invasion from their country! |

The UN should get back to Mexico by pointing out how they restrict immigration into their own country - Mexicans hate (and often abuse) people from El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. |

Just goes to show you that their on crack |

They certainly have the right to bring it up but I doubt there are any grounds for the UN to ask us not to build the fence.
That is common sense's job. |

They would have the right to protest on THEIR side of the border!!! If they would stay there or come here legally, there would never be an issue of a wall!!!!! Why do they have a problem with it anyways?? Because they can no longer freeload off of our tax dollars anymore? |

they can protest all they want too...we have the right to protect our borders....wish bush had the balls to protest their illegal activities along the border....pie in the sky would be economic sanctions against mexico.. |

I don't know if they've got a right to do it, but I think they're going to try and do it anyway... |

Um.... NO.
If it was the other way around (Americans going by the thousands into Mexico) They would be in our situation right now! |

Pamela V needs to read her history books and shut up. Our Irish grandfathers came over here WAY after the Native American Indians were forced out. Blame the right people. |

No they dont. It is our border. It can be compared to the neighbor who put up a fence that you hate. As long as it is on his side of the line there is nothing you can do. |

Mexico is protesting because they do not want to fix the problems in their own country. They want them to all come over to our country and live off of our government, so they do not have to deal with it. If they gave their people the opportunity to be educated and better themselves, then maybe they would not be coming into this country, or any other country. Everybody needs to read the following link:

Really puts a perspective on what is happening to the states they are going into. |

They may well be able to do so, but our government has confirmed repeatedly that they are not subject to the jurisdiction of any foreign court, so they would simply ignore the UN on this point.
What is very telling is that the Mexican government does NOT want to help us stop illegal border crossings, because they rely on the US dollars wired back to their country every month to keep their own heads above water. |

Hell no. Mexico has the right to go home and that's it. |

I can't get past Pam V! Most of the Irish immigrants came here during the Potato Famine, and that was a wee bit past (about 8 years) when the Trail of Tears took place, or am I wrong? |

Would your Irish Grandfather have approved of the English taking over Northern Ireland? There is probably a fence there too. |

why don't they approve is what is important to know and you left out. so there can be intelligent conversation..
my great great great grandfathers would not be so hateful. |

Of course they do.
Or have you already forgotten Ronald Reagan's speech daring Mr. Gorbachev to tear down that wall?
Besides, let's not forget that while building fences or walls to keep them out we are also building fences and walls to keep us in. Beware when the barbed wire goes up. |

Did the Native Americans have the right to protest your great, great, great Irish grandfather coming here unannounced, rounding them up like cattle and herding them off to concentration camps (reservations) down the trail of tears where most of the DIED so he could have their land for FREE and offer a better life for his future offspring (YOU)? The Native Americans weren't even given any warning they were coming. At least the Mexicans don't come here and kill us (yes, I'm white) and take our homes and make us live like animals on farms.
This is not OUR country! We are all here by the grace of God - the White people whose ancestors came only a few hundred years ago and kicked out the Native Americans, the Black people whose ancestors were brought here and suffered through slavery because the White people decided they were too lazy to work the land they stole, the Native Americans who survived the "holacaust" AND the illegal immigrant who MAKES IT ACROSS THE BORDER in search of what your great great great Irish Grandfather wanted - a better life for his family - we are all here BY THE GRACE OF GOD! GO & LIVE IN PEACE! |
