Does an F-1 Visa International Student have an Alien Registration Number?

on my I-20's the A number is left blank.I have an I-94 number but I don't think I have an A number...Is this right?Could this be maybe because I came to the US on a visitor Visa and then it was changed to an F-1 while already here?

No, if you hold an F1 visa, you are not suppose to have an Alien Registration Number. Just make sure you are a full-time student during each academic year. Make sure you understand the rules and regulations that are particular to those on a student visa. Your foreign student adviser is one individual that you want to keep close contact wit
