Immigrants do not have recourse to public funds until they have gained entry clearance and got a valid visa. Even then there are strict rules about how long they are here before they can claim. They need to be supported by family for a while. The illegal immigrants have false ID and get benefits fraudulently. Without a foolproof way in which to identitfy false documents our system will always be open to abuse. There must be millions of them out there. |
