Your calculations are way overestimated. Now calculate how much saved by businesses that hire them. How much they contribute to the GNP of the US. They are consumers too, how much in sales tax is made by them. Don't limit your calculationes to just what the cost is, because you will have to deduct from that cost other factors you are not considering.

Most of them are paying the bloody taxes, right out of there check...under YOUR social security number (maybe) and never drawing the benifits, but are adding to the "Pot", so what are you complaining about?
I one time got extra unemployment because someone used my social and earned over $5,000 in one quarter. I didn't owe tax on that money though, because they didn't use my name.

YES, IT SCORCHES MY @$$!! I pay hefty fines, or face imprisonment if I fail to pay taxes. Illegal immigrants should be no different. Undocumented aliens are a growing problem. I feel that if an employer knowingly hires illegal aliens, he should loose his @$$, and all of his fixtures, in addition to paying for the cost of shipping illegals back to their country. RESIST!!!!! oh its so gross. there was an immigrant in my apt. bldg. asking whether charity pai her 74.00 dollar rent because she also has subsidy, as i am paying 1,000 and had to get a second job so i can pay for their foodstamps with my taxes. what? me bitter? when we change the national language to make them happy, i have to go.

Your right. Illegal immigrants need to be sent packing, freeze their bank accounts and deport them. If they want to be American citizens than learn the "English" language, abide by our beliefs, our gods, our holidays, and become a full fledged American. We don't have room in our country for free loaders that constantly try and disrupt our culture. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Where did you get the idea that no illegal immigrants pay taxes? Especially payroll taxes? Indeed, the ones who use false SS numbers have taxes withheld that they will never get credit for.

Also, your math is way off. No one making $12,000 pays 15% of that amount in taxes. That's not how progressive tax brackets and deductions work.

Well, illegal immigrants really aren't paying taxes because they usually aren't on payroll...

And as far as paying overinflated prices for oranges, I say welfare and social security disability reform should go hand and hand with our illegal immigration policy. Let's get people who can but refuse to work off their duffs and taking jobs supposidly no one wants but "undocumented workers"

at 12,000 per year, that is below poverty. they would owe 15% after deductions, which would be about 10,000, they would owe maybe $250.00, most of them have family, so they would owe no tax at all if they were citizens. You know anyone who makes 250.00 per week that pays taxes?
also, the do work that we don't want to do and will not do. therefore, they contribute to our gross natl product, and as the chain goes put money ionto the economy by getting work done which produces taxable income, probably about what you said it is costing us. and the little benifits they recieve is well worth what the contribute to our society, unless you are willing to do manual labor for 3 or 4 bucks an hour like they do. think about it a different light. maybe you should study up on the immigration situation a little more, just a suggestion.

I hear a lot more complaing about what they can get or should be given by the govt. by US citizens than by immigrants, listen to the thousand of people from New Orleans than were homeless, and wouldn't work, and now they think they should have new cars and houses and subsides to replace what they never had.
