Nope, not a good idea considering a bunch of border patrol agents are in jail for doing their jobs and arresting some aliens.

Ya, but be careful. Restraining somebody can be illegal, even if they are alien.

It's better to just report them and let the authorities take care of it.

You would be setting yourself up for a law suit. You would be asking for more trouble than it's worth. If someone mistook me for something I'm not and tried to hold me against my will..or followed me(stalking)....LAWSUIT ! Better have a good lawyer.

And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. In the vast majority of the States the person must be committing a felony.
I'd be extremely careful about making an arrest UNLESS it was a felony, as in murder, rape, etc.
But then again I carry a gun and would put the person out of their misery for committing such an act........

How do you know if the person is illegal? I hope your foolishness makes you arrest he/she,and I really hope that they are legal,and that they sue the pants off of you.

Yes you can. However you cannot physically hold them to detain them. You can only follow them. And that goes for anyone breaking the law. Check with Immigration Agency to see what they advise you of what you can do.

i have taken some business law class and the professor told me that you cant arrest them just because they are being illegal.
I'm not 100% sure of that answer, but that is what my professor told me.

Sure. Best way is to follow the by car, call the INS, keeping them in sight until they arrive. Then split.

No, you can't. But if it really is a big concern to you you can call INS.
