No, not at all. America is based on freedom, justice, and liberty, so why not help those that are trying to find a better life? Isn't this the land of the free? What about those that wish to be free and the people in the land don't let them?Many illegals do pay taxes. Many Americans don't understand because they have always lived the life that illegals would like to live. It sickens me how they can be described as criminals when all they want to do is work and support their families. I mean, they don't have to stay illegal, that is why people should support the reform and help them out. THAT would be being American.

I will start off by saying that I am a conservative Republican. Next I will say that being pro-illegal does not make you anti-American, it just makes you wrong. It is not anti-American to hold any political belief except one that would be considered treasonous. I will say that allowing illegal aliens to frequent the country as they please is only going to hurt our country in the long run, including our security and economy. I have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and unrestricted illegal immigration is threatening to rob me of all three through the inevitable possibility that terrorists will make their way here across the boarder.

"Pro-illegal" is really a meaningless term. Other than saying someone is opposed all laws.

The issues being debated are really about how much undocumented aliens should be punished for breaking immigration laws. Should they be deported? Imprisoned? Fined? Let off the hook?

Nobody (rationally) is in favor of ignoring all laws. But if choosing to ignore certain laws because you disagree with them makes you un-American, then what does that say for the current Executive Branch, given the number of federal laws they've chosen to ignore and/or violate?

What do you meant by pro illegal? Do you mean open borders? Do you mean controlled borders with a path to legal status for the people already here? There are a lot of people who ask questions like this without saying what they are talking about. You obviously have it defined in your own mind but you can't assume that others define it the same way.

If you mean pro illegal alien the answer is Yes! Think about it, you are backing foriegners who broke our laws to come here, then had ugly babies who automaticaly are legal ? Screw that. Look after your own people first the others look out for each other and screw us without a thought. How bout we all get together and scare them back to where they came from. I can't say that pro-illegal makes you anti American...but I could say that it does place you in to the category of aiding a criminal. I know that the law makers like to say...that most illegal immigrants are here to work and make money (which is true) and that a great majority of them don't want to break our laws (which is untrue, because if you are here illegally, you have already committed a felony), in most cases the felonies don't stop there, now they have to do whatever it takes to stay here illegally, which usually leads to a long list of crimes including but not limited to: ID fraud, ID theft, banking fraud, tax fraud, etc... So if you were to call a person who supports and participates in criminal activity anti American, then yeah, you could say a pro-illegal would be anti American.

So George Bush, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rudy Guiliani, Lindsey Graham, and all the Democrats who are running for president are traitors to their country, and traitors to Western Civilization. I assure you it is not in America's best interest to allow 12 to 20 million aliens who are in this country illegally, and who have committed felonies by using phoney ID on a "path to citizenship." Yes, it does! It means that you put another country ahead of the well being of the US. Pro-illegal means that the people who are coming into the US are not proving that they are going to add positive abilities to the US. They are also not showing the simple fact that they are healthy and wont make the US sick. Hepatitis and TB have increased many times over because of the illegal aliens that come to the US. The big difference between those that came here between 50 to 100 years ago is the fact that they came here LEGALLY. The illegal aliens don't care what laws they break...even ID theft.

Yes, whether a person realizes it or not. Being for anything that is hurting our country and citizens is anti-American. I wonder which other laws these people disagree with, or if they think all of them should be strictly enforced (on citizens only?) except immigration laws. The rest of us shouldn't have to pay for their pet projects. They should be double taxed for supporting this invasion. I also think they should be punished according to the law if they break (or help others break) our immigration laws.

One thing I find really strange is this: While I do understand why some people support illegal aliens, I don't understand at all why these people feel that illegals should also be exempt from some of our other laws. You know, like ID theft or similar laws, the ones the poor babies just have to break in order to support their families. What about our families? They don't seem to matter nearly as much to the pro-illegals, who often put down their own fellow citizens in their haste to support illegals. That's anti-American.

Why would you want people here that are determined to cause more problems with an agenda that seperates people more, shamelessly abuses the systems we have, and are determined not to assimilate into this culture or even their own towns? I have seen very few who want to be a part of a town. They come to take over the town. It seems everyone has a soft spot maybe for a nice family here and there. Unfortunatly there are alot more not so nice ones that concern me. They wouldn't pass for any legal immigrant screening and I'm wondering why this "open arms" attitude for way too many serious criminals? That to me is anti-American.

Why would you think that, Illegals cost us taxes not paid, loss of jobs that U.S. citizens could be doing, loss SS taxes not paid, SS paid to illegals, use of our schools they do not pay for, use of hospitals they do not pay for, welfare they do not pay for, and yet ones that support them do not want to pay all taxes that are a loss to the U.S. nor do they want to pay U.S. citizens a fair wage to work to support their families, in which they pay all the taxes due.
So Yes, anyone supporting illegals is UN-American by helping to destroy what it taken 200 years to build.

In a way yes. Its about respect, respect for our country and its laws. These people are not unknowingly breaking the law, they are openly breaking our immigration laws. They can try to tell us all they want, that they didn't know they were breaking laws, buy if they knew enough to buy or steal or use fake IDs and SS cards, they knew all to well they were breaking laws.

I think it is not appropriate to call someone "un-American" if they are "pro-illegal." The two terms have nothing to do with each other. However I strongly feel that the pro-illegals are TOTALLY WRONG!

I don't understand why people are pro-illegal becasue of the disctruction that the illegal alien criminals do to our economy and system. Our education system is in a shambles becasue teachers can't teach! Our health care system is horrible with all the ERs closing becasue they can't afford to stay open, die to the costs of taking care of the illegal alien criminals.

In spite of what some have claimed, the illegal alien criminals DO NOT PAY TAXES!!!!! Whenever they claim they do, they are liars!!!! An illegal alien does not have a valid SS#. Without this number, they can't pay taxes or file a return. Even if a return was filed, they would get all their withholding back PLUS an earned income tax credit (AKA free money from the taxpayer).

Disease, drugs and crime follow the illegal alien criminal into the US. Wages are lowered. Identites and jobs are stolen from citizens.

We don't need the illegal alien criminal! May 1, 2006 proved this point when they had their "day without an immigrant" protest. This was suppose to cripple our economy. It was just the oppisite! Teachers were able to teach their children. Businesses continued as normal. Even the freeways were clear!
