Does it seem fair that illegal immigrates don't do jury duty?

You have to be a US citizen in order to serve on a jury. Obviously illegals (and they're not immigrants) aren't citizens of this great country.

Illegal immigrants are not American citizens. They are criminals and do not fall under the protection of rights that are reserved for American citizens. How can they serve jury duty when they are criminals themselves and need to be deported.

I, for one, do not want illegal aliens to serve on a jury. People with a total disregard for our country's laws do not belong on a panel weighing someones guilt or innocence under that law.

I certainly DO NOT want illegal immigrants serving on jury duty. They have no right to do so. And as far as Americans being arrested for not showing up, so be it. You should be very excited to participate in jury duty, it is your chance to make a difference. By the way I received a questionnaire for jury duty in Arizona recently, and one of the disqualifying factors was if you did not speak English, you could not serve.

Only US citizens can do jury duty. Not even legal permanent residents can do jury duty, so why would people want illegal immigrants to serve? Is the US that hard up for potential jurors?

Illegals are criminals. Majority don't pay taxes, medical insurance, no legal driver license and we as citizens are paying higher taxes to support the over burden hospitals and schools. The worst part is they don't want to learn our language. The liberals and Pro Mexicans illegals claims we need them here to do Americans don't like to do. They are completely wrong, they are driving the wages down for US citizens. There are many people all over the world that would love to be here legally and do the work they are doing illegally. Majority are educated while the illegals are not. The burden for the government to support this illegals 25-35 years from now will be into billions of your tax dollars, means more taxes we have to pay, maybe in the range of 40%-55% of you income. Perhaps your not aware that many of the illegal crossings are criminals and uneducated. Our country become world leader because of the many educated legal immigrants.

I completely agree with you but with illegals doing jury duty there is a stout language barrier that would hold up the judicial process.
