hi I am an alien and about to marry a us citizen soon,just want to know that if marijuana smoking affects a person,s eligibility to apply for a green card as there is a blood test is involved in this precedure also

Yes, if you were arrested for marijuana use, or possession, your chances of getting an immigrant visa could be lost completely, depending on how much you had on you at the time and whether it was one incident or more. and yes, they do check for drugs on the immigrant physical. |

If there is a blood test, It depends on what they are looking for. Just don't do it all to be safe. If you find that you can't do without, then stop until the process is over. |

yes because it is an illegal act and you an illegal alien so that would get you deported. i recommend that you not smoke any more because you could get yourself deported and your fiance' arrested for many different reasons. i hope this helps and welcome to America. |

Yep. And marijuana sticks around for quite a while in your hair and such (a few months I believe).
If you want to apply for a green card you need to think about obeying the rules of the country you are attempting to join. |

if you have not gotten your physical done for your visa i would be a little worried. if your already here no one will find out. just be smart. if you still have to get your physical exam for your K visa i do not know if the do a hair sample drug screen blood or urine. either way none of then will show anything longer than 6 months. just becareful |
