I believe that. American people are a violent society. Half are welfare who don't need it. Drugs run rampant and no one is doing anything about it. We have the highest murder rate out there. Need we talk about the homeless, child abuse, i could go on and on. We keep bringing every freaking immigrant we can find here and taking jobs away from real american people. Yes lets bring every Bosnian, Mexican, and who ever else wants to sneak there way across the border and takes jobs out of the real american people who need them. Our government is corrupt we have a complete idiot for a president and our governing body beyond that isn't much help either. As long as they fill there own pockets there happy. I got so tired of seeing that United we stand and god bless the usa crap after 9/11. God helps those who helps themselves and so far we haven't done a very good job of that. I love the ideal of America and what America could be become with the right leadership and cleaning it up as a country but right now its depressing.

The "demise" of America is in large part due to the fact that America is supporting the welfare state of mexico. It is the mexican government that has drained the will of the mexican people. I have every confidence that America will pluck that tick.

A lot of people like to talk a lot of smack about america, but I guess the place really isn't so bad 'cause people are practically DYING to get in, and are in fact dying on the 'death trek' across arizona. Face facts, 'sparky', if it wasn't for america, Mexico would have no economy whatsoever...and that's being kind.

Mexico needs reform. It's going to take a lot of 'hard work'. Well, we keep hearing incessantly how 'hard working' all these illegal aliens are supposed to be, this wonderful work ethic that's left the majority of their own country standing firmly in the 40's, infrastructure-wise. So, let's see the hard work. Infrastructure's one of these things where the results don't really come for about 10 years, if that soon, in some areas. It's a long-term investment.

I'm sure there's plenty of rock quarries from which to extract suitable rock for making concrete in Mexico. You go, you dig up the rocks, you mix the concrete, you pour foundations, you pour roads, you level it all out, heck, you can even pour walls out of concrete. You put those little steel thingies in there, let it all dry, pretty soon goshdarnitall, you've got yourself a hospital building. You fill the hospital building with the appropriate furniture and highly trained staff, and you've got 'healthcare'. Build a school right next door to the hospital, and you've got yourself a medical training center. Build 200 more schools all across Mexico, and the illiteracy rate will drop like a rock.

Mexico HAS potential, but that potential will never be realized as long as people 'flee the scene', trying to rush the border into america. I think america should try and HELP Mexico, we just can't do it FOR Mexico, u know what I mean?

Furthermore, here's an untapped revenue stream: Mexico has a lot of native indian tribes. They get all artsy-craftsy all day long, think of all the septagenarian tourists who get into that kind of thing who'd love to go there, if they thought the place was a little safer, a little more civilized. 'Selling' Mexico to the rest of the world is 'muy importante' to their future. On top of that, Mexico can get all 'jiggy' with agriculture, probably do a BOOMING business in hot pepper exports. But, it takes some planning, some organization, some forethought, some investment, and a lot of persistence and consistency to produce long-term lasting results like that.

There's no reason on god's green earth for Mexico to be poor, other than that the people that live in that country have not yet conceptualized ways to be more successful, and collectively deciding to 'keep it honest'. We SHOULD be famously good neighbors with Mexico, but there's this population rush that's flowing into the US on a daily basis that's flat unsustainable.
I don't think anyone in their right mind objects to mexican people coming to visit, but some of the things that've gone on aren't 'visiting' anymore, there's been a lot of hostile language and attitudes, things that don't wash well with many citizens in our country, crime etc. that has accompanied all this illegal immigration, negative influences that no one wants.
The wave of the future is better schools, simple as that, schools where people can learn to be better at business, save money, build up their cities and towns, that kind of thing, really make things nice. But again, america can't do it FOR Mexico, Mexico's going to have to show more initiative, employ more of its' own citizens so they don't have to 'run for the border' in the dead of night etc. Reforms are never easy, but they are worthy. Here's hoping that the future will see a healthier, happier, saner relationship between our two countries, and less lobbying for things that just can't be.

We need to take charge and let our representatives in Congress and the Senate know we're TIRED of undocumented immigrants that "take advantage of the benefits this country has to offer" ! Our health care system is suffering, our education system is suffering and illegal immigrants are only adding to the burden. Americans whine and complain about this but do nothing. Wake up people!
