Dual citizenship informations and details...?

I'm a little confuse right now... So okay I just migrated here in Canada... And I'm planning to go to a vet school in California... My mom said I'll apply as an immigrant there making me to have dual citizenship.... I'm going to pre vet here for three years and this vacation I'm gonna go in California to process it... How long does it take to come out... What if it came out already, do I have to stay there for a long time then what about my schooling... I'm confuse help!!!

Sorry if it is confusing... It's confusing me too... So okay... I came from the phil... And I just migrated here in Canada and about to graduate this June... I'm planning to take pre vet med and it's going to be three years... My mom is in California and I'm planning to go to a vet school there... At first we thought of student visa but my mom told me we'll just apply for immigrant in u.s. Then that would be dual citizenship... So that if I ever plan to stay there it is still legal... I'm not clear with all these stuff coz I'm not pretty much aware of how the dual citizenship works or... I dunno... I'm so confuse... I'm just worried...

Your information is a bit confusing. Could you clarify something? When you say you migrated here in Canada, what do you mean? Are you a US citizen who moved to Canada?

If you are a Canadian who is planning to go to the US for college then you need to speak to the college or the American Embassy about visa requirements, I'm not sure what the agreement is between the US & Canada about the movement of citizens for both countries.

Going to study in another country does not automatically mean you need to become a citizen or acquire citizenship to study in that country, you may only need a visa.

Edit: I think you need to sit down with your mother, if she understands how the system works, she needs to explain to you what she's planning to do & how she's going to do it. Asking her what's she going to do will clear things up a lot faster. It sounds like she's going to sponsor you to come to the US but that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to wind up with US citizenship.

You will need to get a US student visa. I'm not sure how you'd get dual citizenship. Getting US citizenship is a very long process.

Your question is confusing.

From where did you "migrate" to Canada?
What is going to come out?

It a case to case : type situation. some country's allow it some country do not allow it. You have to do your home work on this one.
