One of the fastest ways to get a working visa is to apply as a caregiver. This may not be your profession, but in doing so, it is highly likely to obtain a Canadian visa while you are touring the country. Many Canadians seek caregivers for their elders. This job does not require you high educational attainment or professional skills. You just need to be knowledgeable in taking care of the elderly or disabled people. Many aspirants have gained their visa through this method.
On the other hand, it takes real planning to be able to work as a caregiver. First, you have to have a caregiver's training certificate. Meaning, you must have undergone training from your own country or a care-giving school outside Canada. This school also has to be approved by HRSDC. If you are not able to prepare for this, do not attempt to take a care-giving course inside the country. Otherwise, you are wasting your time and money because it will not be honored as a valid training certificate. You need a student's visa in order to enroll yourself in a care-giving course.
You can go around this requirement by having a willing sponsor. He or she should be able to sponsor you as a caregiver. You may extend your visitor's visa and apply for a working permit in the nearest Canadian consulate inside the United States. Of course, you need a U.S. visa in order to do this. |

getting a student visa is NOT cheap and is NOT always fast.
you need to show that you already have money saved up to pay the tuition fees and books AND to support yourself while you are studying. you need to be able to pay for rent, medical, food, clothes, transport, entertainment etc etc
without proof of this money saved up already, you will NOT get the student visa.
you must also apply to a canadian institute first and be accepted before you apply for the student visa. you need to use the acceptance letter from the college as proof.
