Eligibility for visa into UK?

I have a fiancee currently residing in UK who is a national and is pregnant. Now 6 years ago i got convicted of possesion of xanax without a script and did my time (3 years) and havent been in trouble since my question is does this affect my chances of getting into the country and does me having a child there help any at all. By the way i am a US citizen

when you apply for a Visa your chances will be better if you include the conviction on the Application

here in Australia A husband and father was refused entry for denying a conviction 3 years previous

On his entry card he ticked NO and on the First interview denied he had a criminal record

his refusal was for being Dishonest not for the offence

Check the U.K. govt site on these matters. My bro was not allowed to get imigration to the USA in the sixties because of a misdemeaner( not a very bad one) act in the U.K. and I along with other family members lived there at that time as legal residents..plus he was offered a great job from a reputable company why should you be able to come over to the U.K. . Former USA resident.Lost my status because I had moved to Canada and my son was born in Long Island New York. Plus he is first a nation person. go to UK.GOV.CO.UK besides you say she is a NATIONAL but is she a CITIZEN???
