Employer Discrimination towards highly skilled MIGRANT?

I am looking to apply for jobs at the moment and found that employers are discriminating genuine highly skilled migrants by not letting them fill online application forms!

I mean when i came to UK i clearly signed a declaration that I am making UK my main Home Country. Now that I am here employers state that they don't want to recruit highly skilled migrants.

These employers are big high street bank (one about to be nationalized). I believe its real discrimination and am seriously considering a complaint to get to Employment Tribunal or probably trigger a Judicial Review should i not succeed.

I dont want comments from racist narrow minded people.

I come from Dubai. AND there are more British workers over there than Dubai born Arabs over here! Sorry but you miss the logic whatever state the economy is in right now.

You just cant discriminate against foreign born population who have legal right to work in the UK!

Actually they can - but its NOT discrimination, its the economy.

the biggest problem for businesses these days is that in this harsh economic climate, businesses dont want to or cannot afford to pay the high wages/salaries that highly skilled migrants expect to make.

I am not racist so hope I don't cause offense. Look at the british economy. We are in the crap, big style and our finance industry is in trouble. People are rapidly losing their jobs and British people are angry. If you were a migrant from an eu country then it would be a different story, but so many born and bred british are losing their jobs that companies are having to close doors to skilled migrants outside the eu, unless there is a significant skills shortage. i would forget the finance industry and try something else.

Large orgs and govt should always employ on Merit.
