Entry to US immigration but No finger Scan?

Hi.
I am a holder of GC. However on my last entry to the US the officer didn't tell me to do the finger scan... but all my friends did it.. how come?? do I have any problem?

when did you get back?? I got back on
Jan 1. 2009 that was my first time entered US .. the office asked me some question as well... but.. dindt get the fingerprint.!

I'm also a GC holder and I just recently came from an overseas trip. I didn't undergo fingerprinting either when I came back. Just the normal questioning process by the Immigration Officer for few minutes.I read that it was just a recent procedure (fingerprinting) when Pres. Obama assumed office. If you have done nothing illegal then you shouldn't be worried. Besides they would have been into you now if there's any problem.
Addition: I got back last Jan. 20,2009.

I don't think finger print scanning will work for everybody especially builders their hands are rough and dirty. you could use DNA testing, but if your country is prepared to do this ,you should give the statue of Liberty back to france..............................
