Expediting of an i130 (unmarried over 21 daughter of a US CItizen)?

Hi all,

I have been waiting since February 2004 (after reapplying when I aged out on my parents initial application) and wanted to know if anyone has any advice on how / if I can get this expedited. It is currently sitting at the NVC approved and waiting on a visa number.

I miss my family and cant wait to be with them, my entire life is on hold right now.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks Paul. I am in my home country still. My status is approved and transferred to New Hampshire NVC awaiting a visa number to become available. I just checked the visa and it is moving month for month. A couple years back it would jump a couple of months at a time. I am just disappointed at the time it has taken . I have really been hard done by here. I hope it is worth the wait :)

There is no way to expediate when the vis is not available. You have to wait in line like everybody else.

As of May 2009 Visa Bulletin, people who has Priority Date either on or before September 22, 2002 (except October 8, 1992 for Mexican Citizens, August 1, 1993 for Philippines citizens) can apply for green card. Therefore, you are looking at about 2 more years.

You need to put little more explanation what is your status now what processing u already now call 800-375-5283 keep calling in routine stay in there eye and keep writing if u can with ur receipt # but also realize they have 2.5 mill application a yr so it will take time
