They pay taxes. How can you pay taxes if you are here illegally. You don't have a legal social security card, so I'm assuming you ONLY pay taxes when you shop.

First, they do pay taxes. They pay some federal income taxes, and legally pay medicare and SS taxes. If you allow them to stay, they will pay their fair share of income taxes. Period.

I am not "pro-illegal alien" (as you put it), but I do have to point out that probably most illegal immigrants do pay taxes. In fact the employment laws of the country make if very difficult for them not to. But hear me out.

Certainly all illegal immigrants who live in the country pay sales taxes whenever they purchase products. Some illegal immigrants (probably more than we know) acquire a SSN card either legally or illegally and have the same payroll state and federal taxes deducted from their paychecks. Note: Employers also pay employer taxes for each employee - hence a lower paying wage actually lowers the taxes employers pay as well.

But probably the most surprising intervention by the IRS to collect taxes from illegal immigrants is the ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) which are given to residents who do not need to prove their legal status. In short these ID numbers allow IRS to collect taxes on illegal immigrants who work in the country while not giving ITIN users the same tax credits and benefits citizens and legal residents receive.

For those illegal immigrants who don't pay taxes, blame the employers who hired them. Let's not be stupid. Employers who pay cash, who don't require an ID, who don't require an SSN, know they are hiring illegal immigrants. Again the employers benefit by not having to pay employer payroll taxes as well.

So, in short, I don't think your reasoning of non-paying taxes is actually that vital a reason to deport illegal immigrants. Most who work here, pay taxes here. The only illegal immigrants who aren't paying income taxes are those who are employed by employers who knowingly hired them illegallly. If these employers followed the employment and tax laws illegal immigrants who may have successfully deceived them of their legal status would still be paying taxes.

One last note, employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants and pay "under the table" are just as much as a tax evasive criminal as the illegal immigrants they hire.

How can they pay taxes, if they do not have a social security number? You cant get a social security number if you are not a legal citizen.

I agree with you on most points. They can pay taxes if they get a federal id number. IRS does not care if they are legal or not.
In the town I live in fake ids, fake green cards, fake drivers licenses and fake social security cards are everywhere. No one does a thing about it. Not only do they get free schooling, they get free breakfasts and lunches, special bilingual teachers and books, they get low income housing, low income utility prices, free baby formula, diapers, milk , eggs, cheese and free medical care, dental and glasses. If they have several kids, and most of them do, they get a major tax break if they have paid taxes. The middle class is slowly being wiped out as people like you and me are fitting the bill for these people. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said they come here for the good life.

What gives you the right (other than humans themselves after maintaining the unequality in the world to personal advantage), to live there? Just having been lucky to be born there?

Everybody should pay taxes for everybody else who is weak, ill and in need of help. If you are worth being called a human, act humane, and feel personally responsible for the well being of others in the world.

The world belongs to everybody, not just those who claimed it first and killed everybody else who wanted to claim it too.

You are not personally responsible / to be thanked, for the wealth of your nation (most of this wealth was acquired with exploitation of others), neither are other individuals personally responsible for their poverty. If you do not want them to move to your country, take responsibility for their quality of life in their home land.

most illegal immigrans actually do pay taxes. I know my wives father spent 25 years working in a factory, and every two weeks he lost a part of his paycheck to social security. now that he's retired, he isn't even eligible to get what he paid out. my wife's family also have to pay property taxes on their house, which pays for them having gone to school. so what point are you trying to make?
