Green Card holders requirements to re-enter the U.S by land after June/1/2009?

I currently live in Michigan, I am not a U.S Citizen BUT I am a permanent resident (I have a green card), I always travel by land to Canada (for 3-5 days) and re-enter the United States with my green card only (no passport required). My question is will I be able to do the same thing after June/1/2009 ? (re-enter the United States with my green card only if traveling by land to canada after June/1/2009?) or I am required to have a passport too? Because I just read this on the website and I don't know if it's BEFORE June/1/2009 or AFTER June/1/2009 :
Lawful Permanent Residents (Green card holder's) do NOT need a passport to enter the United States, however you may need a passport to enter another country. Please contact the embassy of the foreign country you will be traveling to for their requirements.

You will still be able to use your Green Card for travel to Canada and back after June 1, 2009. This applies to travel by air, land and sea.

According to dhs.gov, the Homeland security web site, passports will
be required after June 1 only if you travel by air. By land or sea you
need your I-551 only as before.
