Green card warning question for re-entry?

Hi, I got a warning last year and do not live in US at present. I am coming there to visit soon and do not want GC revoked. Have asked this question few times ( excuse me madman).

is it a good idea to fly in from mexico or canada i.e. not go directly to NY. also to get a new passport with history of warning delated?

Changing your passport will not help. They scan your card and have an exact record of each time you come and go from the United States. At some point the card will be confiscated and you'll be required to PROVE you actually live in the United States.

It makes absolutely no difference what port of entry you use. Every CBP Officer, at every entry point, has the exact same information available to him/her.

if you are in possession of a green card? you do not come to the US for a visit. you need to live in the US to keep your green card,it is meant for you to live in the US.
It does not matter which port of entry you are trying to enter from? all entries ports are informed.
your new passport will not erase anything(common practice for people to do so,hoping records will be gone) but worthless move.
if i remember you correctly? you already received warning? (other question) you are on a list by now...
it seems that you are no longer living in the US but yet want to keep your green card..
it does not work this way, you either live in the US or you do not...

Everything is online nowadays. They have your record of exit and entry in the computers. Where you live(d), taxes you paid, work, everything. Changing your passport will not matter. You knew what you were doing would directly impact your LPR status. You have to face the music when you get back.

Honestly......... your best bet is contact the US Embassy before travelling. Find out what the warning was for. The last thing you want is to not be able to get in and worse getting it revoked!
Definately do not take a chance from either Canadian or Mexican border (Immigration Officers are even worse at those ends!!)
worse comes to worse get a really good Immigration lawyer who comes reccomended! :-) hope this helps
