Does 'illegal' means 'not legal'? YES!
illegal is a crime.
Rudy just trying to win more votes. |

He never had my vote since the day he voiced support of the abort-a-baby murderous "rights" of women, but this is definitely not just a nail in his coffin, but a few good shovefuls of dirt too. |

he never had mine to begin with. And yes he lost his marbles a long time ago. He's too into acting to be taken seriously. |

If he said that,he did lose his marbles then. |

Yes, he has lost it. Unfortunately. I did like him at one point. |

If he needs to read the statutes again then you certainly need to read the article and not just the headline.
I'm not a Giuliani fan but he should at least be quoted right.
Read the last line twice just so it will soak in.
"It's not a crime," Giuliani said Friday. "I know that's very hard for people to understand, but it's not a federal crime.""I was U.S. attorney in the Southern district of New York," he said. "So believe me, I know this. In fact, when you throw an immigrant out of the country, it's not a criminal proceeding. It's a civil proceeding."
Illegal immigration shouldn't be a crime, either, Giuliani said: "No, it shouldn't be because the government wouldn't be able to prosecute it. We couldn't prosecute 12 million people. We have only 2 million people in jail right now for all the crimes that are committed in the country, 2.5 million."
He added: "My solution is close the border to illegal immigration |

Apparently, illegal immigration as it now stands is NOT a federal crime (though it damn well should be - an amendment is in order i think?), so I'm gonna have to agree with the other user who said that he was just telling the truth (and it's good he still believes in securing the border - though I think his position on it is a good deal shakier than either Tancredo or Paul).
Nevertheless, he has too many other hairbrained positions that make me unable to vote for him. I will be most likely voting for Ron Paul in 08, unless someone better enters late into the ring (doubtful at this point). |

he not only lost his marbles but he has also lost a sh!t load of votes!!! |

I wasn't going to vote for him in the first place. I find it so odd that he said that though. The very word that makes it a CRIME is in the word ILLEGAL. |

Giuliani never had my vote but if he had, it would be gone now. |

He has never had it. |

He has my vote because he is being correct about the law. Illegal immigration is not criminal activity; they are breaking civic law.
He is advocating a solution of blocking them at the border with a wall and screen by technology. Way better than we have now. |

As usual, the media is jumping to conclusions and only sensationalizing part of what he said. Read his words and don't just listen to the left-wing media!!!
I am 60 years old and have never seen such a sorry bunch of presidential candidates. Makes me want to close my blinds, drink beer, watch sports and ignore politics. Wait, I already do that.......... |

He never had my vote to begin with, but I do hope he loses all of his supporters. John McCain said something pro-illegal and he spiraled down to almost nothing. Hopefully the same will go for Rudy. Illegal immigration is a crime. Hence the illegal part of it. |
|

Any Republican 2012
|
YES, he has. Now I'm for McCain.
And he also said "you can't prosecute 12 million people" just like everyone was saying we should give amnesty because you "can't deport 12 million people."
AS IF SOMEHOW THEY'RE GOING TO ALL TURN THEMSELVES INTO US AND IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE!!! Duh! Anyone who says that is definately pro-illegal immigration. |

Yes, I'd never vote for him. |

If anyone really paid attention to what he said (which I doubt),he states that illegal immigration is a civil issue NOT a criminal one like the general public says. |

Rudy never had any hope of getting my vote. He embodies the worst of every vice a politician can practice short of winding up in prison.
If he's the candidate the Republicans are banking on, I'm glad I use a credit union instead. |

Mr. Morden

I would suggest that you read them. What he said is correct.
What he said was "...when you throw an (illegal) immigrant out of the country, it's not a criminal proceeding. It's a civil proceeding". |

It's not a crime.. Even Oreilly admits to that.. But he never had my vote to lose.. |
