I am interested in the details...we have been accepted but need to enter canada by Aug01/09 , we are going on jun02/09, do we have to stay in canada or can we come back to uk and pack everything and go back to canada in 2 months later? thanks Bruce

When you "land" in Canada and do your paperwork, they need you to give them an address to mail your PR cards to. If you don't have an address, you can give them an address later but getting your PR cards will take 30 days or so from the time they get an address from you.
Normally, you would need your PR cards to enter Canada again. If you have friends or relatives in Canada who you can give the address of and will fed-ex or mail the PR cards to you in the UK, no problem. If you don't, ask the border guards. Some people have been told that it's ok to enter with just their landing documents, at worst, you'd have to apply for a PR travel document at the Canadian embassy in London. |
