This word is so over-used it has desensitized me to a degree. I know what real racism means and the illegals use it because they don't have a valid argument. I ignore it when it comes from them and their supporters. I think the illegals/supporters try very hard to make whites and other people who want them out of this country feel guilty and that's the only way they know how. Just pull out the brown card. That crap doesn't work with me.

We just had an election in St. Louis, and a black candidate actually called her opponent " A known Caucasian." Hows that for a race card? She wanted everyone to know her opponent was white. Politics in St. Louis is a great viewer sport. A couple years ago a reporter stopped an alderman after an aldermanic session to ask him a question, he actually said he didn't have time now, he just took a Viagra and had a date, on camera. This was a week after an alderwoman urinated in a waste can in the aldermanic chambers during session and while the t.v. cameras were rolling. Oh how I love St. Louis politics. Oh, by the way they are all African Americans. Can white people get by with that kind of stuff? I think not.

Only in rare situations, anymore. It is frequently misused, to the everlasting detriment of those who actually are discriminated against on the basis of race. Moreover, the issue is raised again and again, too often inappropriately, in courts of law. I'm afraid, if enough people get too cynical because of such misuse, we'll wind up losing any ground we have gained as a society in this very important arena.

It never had any meaning to me to begin with. I try not to judge people according to their skin color. I also don't believe that anyone born after 1964 has a "race card" to play. As Americans, we all have the same rights and opportunities. If you cut somebody's head off - whether you are black, blue, white or yellow, you should be punished according to the law.

The race card is misused by demagogues like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on a daily basis, and lots of people pay attention to them, so much so that they have even put their names in for the Presidency of the United States. Neither one is qualified.

That said, I strongly dislike "racism", no matter who practices it. People have a right to be judged on the basis of their individual merits and accomplishments, regardless of their race.

lol .. it never did mean anything to me in the first place .. but heck man, what do you expect the poor pro illegals to come out with? Because it's mainly waved by the pro illegal lobby ... They don't have any verifiable arguments to prove that law breaking on a massive scale is somehow good for the U.S. ... so out comes the race card .. might work with some people who are desperately trying to be politically correct ... won't work with me, or anyone else who knows what's going on ... :)

They keep playing it like it means something, you hear an awful lot of 'white people...'something-something-something, but frankly it's a line you use when you're trying to get special exception/exemption for something. I think it's high lunacy to assume that it's going to result in anything except hardening people's 'hearts and minds' against illegal immigration even more, america's already been through a lot of that and we've taken great pains to ensure that people get all kinds of special consideration, but at the end of the day, it's the talent that gets hired, not the skin color. You've got whites out there throwing that garbage around, too, and it's kind of shameful and idiotic, kind of shows you how dumb some people are, I guess....

To me its just a sign that people are being taught that they can not succeed on their own that they are owed something by society. Very sad, i cant stand to see someone say "just because im black or hispanic or indian," whatever.

One of the first slurs directed my way was the "race" card, at first i was shocked, then angry, then I accepted the fact that the criminals and the supporters of criminals only have one card in their hand to play, and they whip it out like an old time gunfighter in the westerns any chance they get.
I have been called many things, "Racist is one of the milder labels.
It doesnt mean much any more.

If you think the race card has lost its affect, then I guess what you are saying is it is OK to bash minorities.....Saying that there is no more racism, and people are just misusing the race issue is wrong.....

Of course there is racism and of course people more get accused of being racist.....Is there more or less racism in the world? I would say we are just aware of it more, since all this technology of communications has exploded....
