Yeah, my buddy's car was just totaled by one driving a snow plow for a landscaping company. He pulled the 'no speak english" routine and ran. Fortunately, my friend was able to track down the owner of the truck and get paid for his damages.

Yes, I have seen illegal aliens. We used to say...."INS" and watch them scatter! Of course now its..."ICE". What was even more fun was when the INS was present, talk about running for cover! Now days, I use the above test, while calling ICE on my cell.

they look latino...but there's so many of them and I do not want to judge all of them...but they usually work for construction companies,landscaping or housekeeping where the employer is trying not to pay taxes on them :-)

yes i've seen a few working but i've seen more hanging out selling drugs, shooting up neighborhoods and Innocent people and each other of course that reduces the population a little, what would i do what can you? nothing by yourself it everyone to take a stand. whats wrong with being a documented worker? unless your up to no good.

Probably I've seen oodles. Living by hundreds of apple growers, I see many Latino workers.

BUT, I can't tell if they are undocumented. By law I am not allowed to ask them to present proof of legality. AND, the law enforcement authorities in my area do not check them either - even though they are legally mandated to do so, Maybe they don't want to check I.D. because the growers would voice their displeasure? Or maybe it's because the authorities don't want to face lawsuits for profiling? Or maybe the enforcement agencies know that the price of their apples would go up if the illegals were sent packing?

This situation will probably resolve itself. When there are no jobs left in the U.S.( except those in the fruit orchards) hordes of hungry, irate, U.S. workers will converge on those establishments to claim what is rightfully theirs: U.S. jobs for U.S. citizens.

One can only hope (before that occurs) that Pedro can see it coming, puts Maria and his ninos in the Chevy, and leaves to return to a worse place................

Work with them every day,The company can not do anything or you might infringe on some right that they don't have.

How can you possibly tell by "looking" at some one that they are an undocumented worker? I am an attorney and I represent lots of Hispanics. Some of them speak no English whatsoever, but are American Citizens because either they were born here or their parents became citizens when they were small.

Lots of laborers enter lawfully on work visas. You can't pretend to know anyone's immigration status or work authorization by looking or talking to them.
