In 2001 I apply for the Green card and I received my Green card in 2005. Can I apply for US Citizenship after 3 years, when I received my green card.

If you got your green card based on marriage and you are still married to the same spouse, then yes, you can file after 3 years (or 2 yrs. and 9 months)
If you are no longer married to the same spouse or you got your greencard based on employment, then you will have to wait for 5 years. ( or 4 yrs. and 9 months)
USCIS allows you to file your application 3 month prior to the anniversary.... |

If you immigrated as a result of marriage to a US citizen you can apply for naturalization 3 years after your Green Card is issued. If you came another way it's 5 years after your Green Card is issued. |
