Help!Immigration and Customs Enforcement came to me,i am out of F-1 status!?

Hi!
I am out of status because my college,i emailed to embassy ,they told me to make appointment ,with USCIS ,and i did ,but yesterday i cancelled it because i decided to go home 24 June i am leaving US
They came today morning and and i showed them all the documents ,tickets ,prove them that i am leaving US ,Because i want it ,showed them all e-mails from embassy ,so they made couple calls to airport to confirm about my Flight and with they department and told me they are not taking me ,because i am doing it myself ,they were very nice to me in beginning ,but at the and they started giving me weird questions like 'Do you know any crime going on ,Do you know any body From Iraq Iran,Saudi Arabia?Do you want to stay here?If you will tell us any useful information we can help you to stay here?!AND told me that if dont leave on 24 they will come and take me somewhere and deport .
How did they know that i was out of status ?Why did they come to me?
am i going to be in constant watch day and night ?
can i go shopping or so ?or i have to just sit at home? I wanted to leave 18 but all tickets were sold,so i am now being watched?where ever i go ?even buy some clothes?
am i in huge problem ?

You are only in trouble if you do not leave by the 24th. If you are less than 180 days out of status, you will still be eligible to apply another visa in the future. Otherwise, an overstay of more than 180 days but less than 365 carries a 3-year ban from the U.S. (overstays of more than 365 days carries a 10-year ban). |

When you apply to the school, the USCIS government officials can and do look up your paperwork and can find you. It's that simple. Since 9-11 terrorists were in the USA, mostly on student visas which expired, you need to follow all the rules and laws. Overstaying your student visa makes you in the USA illegally and subject to arrest and deportation. You then are breaking the laws and can be punished. If you went to college, you should be smart enough to know what NOT to do in order to stay OUT of trouble. Do what they say or suffer the consequences. And if you come from any known enemy countries in the Middle East you are automatically under suspicion so get used to it. |
