Hey. What would be a great attention getter for on informative speech on Illegal I migration?

Actual I find it difficult to give you any ideas since you are not stating which side of the (illegal) immigration issue you are speaking on.
Because of that lack of information all I can think of suggesting is a mid stance view.
You could dress like the half man half lady only you would be half illegal and half legal. Adjust to the side that will be seen when you are showing your visuals or material.
Show some pictures of people that are crossing illegally, then some of illegals being detained at a ranch owned by one Mr. Barnett. Videos of illegals work site sweeps then videos of office workers on computers or on the strike lines.
You could use Richard C"s idea then follow it up by reentering the room and announcing that you have just been deported.
Articles of crimes committed by illegals then crimes committed by citizens. You know I have requested many times, other than being illegal someone tell me what crime can be committed by an illegal that can not be committed by anyone else legal or otherwise as of yet I have not gotten an answer.
Maybe you can show pictures of individuals and those you are speaking to can mentally pick whether that person is legal or illegal.
As i said try a middle point of view and let the people viewing decide for themselves that is if you already do not have a side of your own to express.

As you get up from your seat to give the speech, have "police" (friends) rush into the room and "arrest" you...as you are yelling, "What did I do, Who are you, Where am I going?"

It has to be swift to keep the class in shock...you are led out of the room, then return a few moments later to now go into your discussion.

An overlooked problem for U.S citizens today is Illegal Immigration. With the apparent rock bottom economy, do we really want money to be payed to illegal immigrants. They are not legal here but they still get in and get to work. With the bad economy unemployment is going up very high. We need to stop illegal immigrants from getting jobs.

What about, do you know how many millions of dollars are paid in income taxes by illegal aliens and are not claimed??

Every person that works for a company with a (real or fake) SS number have the tax deducted from the paycheck, that means illegals pay taxes,now, Where the hell do you think all that money goes?
Im tired to listen that crap about illegals no paying taxes. What about the americans that dont pay taxes?? are you gonan tell me that all american pay taxes? The answer is; Noooo, not all pays taxes.
Besides that, Immigrants illegal or legal buy goods, they buy cars, houses, clothes, etc....

Im just gonna advised you before doing your speech, please do research, dont hear only one side of the story. Look and see who is really taking advantage of this disastrous situation.
